Just want some clarification regarding the SP FAQFollow

So I was reading the FAQ for Shadowpriests, and came across this...

Quote:
Regarding the Horde, the Undead's...Devouring Plague is a decent extra DOT, albeit a mana-expensive one.

Trolls get...Shadowguard. Shadowguard can be useful, since it procs Blackout and Shadow Weaving, as well as doing some decent damage.

Blood Elves get... and Consume Magic which allows you to regain mana by consuming one of your buffs.

For the Alliance, Dwarves get Desperate Prayer (instant self-heal), Fear Ward...

Humans get... Desperate Prayer (same as Dwarf), Human Spirit (+5%spi), Feedback (Any successful spell cast against the priest will burn x of the attacker's Mana and y Shadow damage for each point of Mana burned for 15 secs), and ...

Night Elves have one decent talent, Shadowmeld, and many useless ones, including Elune's Grace (useless), Starshards (useless in 99% of situations) and Imporved death aka Wisp form. You roll an NE for the look, not for the racials.

Dranei also get Fear Ward, Gift of Naaru (a Heal over Time), the Presence buffs (+1% to hit for party), Symbol of Hope (regens X amount of many every 5 sec, for 15 secs), and some shadow resistance.

Some of those abilities I've never even heard of. So is it that on top of having a racial for the race you chose, priests get exclusive abilities in addition to the racial? Devouring Plague, Desperate prayer, Feedback, etc..

Sorry if I am missing something big here. I looked at my new human priest's spellbook and saw nothing of those abilities. Can anyone help clarify this for me?

Thank you =)

As you have already guessed the answer is yes , Priests do get " extra " racials like devouring plague , my undead priest has it but rarely finds a use for it.

Not sure why they get the extras though but you will get the human one if i remember right soon enough i am not sure exactly what level though as its some time since i played a priest.

You get racial spells at levels 10 and 20. Oddly enough, some cost mana and some don't. You can find the complete breakdown here. (Yeah, I checked the Alla Wiki first, but they aren't separated out like this. :)).

Ah. Desperate Prayer.

Having switched from a Dwarf Priest to a Blood Elf one I just remembered what survivaling spell I was missing.

Instead I got Touch of Weakness. Wow...
