Gemming your feral on the way to 70Follow

My feral druid is 63 right now. I just got my first piece of gemmable gear, Scouts Hood. It has slots for 3 gems. I spend 95% of my time in kitty form, since instance groups are like impossible to get on my server right now. I spend most of my time questing or helping low level guildees. Haven't tanked an instace since ST. My question is, what gems should I be putting in my gear as I work my way to 70.

I plan to replace most of it with PvP gear at 70. Or does it not really matter at all. She will be my 4th 70, so money isn't a problem.

Thanks in advance.

I'm no gem expert, but I will play one on this forum. My guess is go for the +6 agi for red, +9 sta for blue (I always like extra sta, even while soloing) and something like wicked flame spessarite for +3 crit and +6 ap. Then you get the agi socket bonus, which is nice. Agi > all for dps and soloing is what I learned here.

Unless you feel incredibly wealthy probably not worth it to drop the gold on rare gems for that piece.

Agree with Tusker. Go with the green gems, and go for the worthwhile socket bonus.

Don't blow too much on gems for this, because at level 67 you can get either of two quest rewards that are good enough to last you a good long time: Stealther's Healmet of Second Sight out of SMV or Helm of the Claw out of Steamvault. You'll need help getting either of them, especially at that level, but with all those 70s in your pocket I'm sure you can get guildies to help, or trade favors.

As a cat, agility is worth more then any other stat, it adds AP AND Crit. So any red slots should always be agility (until you're way higher, then maybe strength, but that's number crunching). I would gem it for +18 agility (or +24 if you have the cash). But if you want to keep the sockets then the yellow should be a +3hit +3agil orange, and the blue should be a purple +3agil +5stam gem. AP and Crit gems are not worth it, since you can get both stats from Agility.

Yellow Slots* : Agi + Hit [Orange]
Blue Slots : Agi + Stam [Purple]
Red Slots : Agility [Red]

Use whichever rank of gem you can afford. Personally I'd go with the greens seeing as it's only levelling gear.

* When the socket bonus is worth keeping.

Never ever go for a gem with attack power, agility is our best dps stat, period. Use hybrid purple/orange gems for socket bonuses or when you want to balance dps with stamina.

You could go with agility, but on the other hand, agility is nice too. Oh, and I've heard good things about agility, but then again, a combination of agility and agility is great. I know all the rage nowadays is over agility, but you can do it like we always did way back when and get agility. If cash isn't an issue, you could spring for agility!!! But it seems all I'm able to afford is agility. Then there is always the basic agility....

Just pick one of the above.

He's leveling, and said he doesn't tank, so he should most definitely get agility. Or agility, his choice....

LOL, she is not tanking at the moment....I can't stand it when ppl hit the mob before me, even when they know better. My health and armor aren't up there either, so no tanking for me.
