In light of season 4 and the resetting of everyones ranking, as well as people who farmed honor and arena points, people who were decently geared two weeks ago are now back at the bottom of the barrel. ME!!!

So whatever, arena is fun for me win or lose. Still, I like to be as efficent as possible, so heres my new situation. My new roommate switched to my server and is now my 2v2 partner. Thing is he's a enchancement shaman, hell yes right!.... Ok, so myself being a resto druid with almost 300 resil I think we can still do alright, wrong! Now we're in the lower 1400's, and im still fighting full S3 groups. Some matches I knew we had no chance, others just a bad luck of the draw.

From what I was noticed my HOT's just had a hard time keeping him alive. He was at 150 resil when we started. So I started to ponder if doing dreamstate would help me with keeping him afloat during the heat of the match. Also maybe assiting with the dps a little.

So my question is would this be a better solution then staying resto? I've had experience with dreamstate build before so I'm use to the difference in playstyle (almost perfer it).

On the otherhand should we stick it out and wait till he gets more pvp gear? Would that alone effect my healing situation on him?

.... if only my roommate was a warrior, right!

edit: spelling errors.

No, you can't kill a... oh wait...

I reckon you should wait for him to get gear first, you can always respec lateron. Are you fighting a lot of teams with 2 DPSers (since there's a lot in the 1400 brackets)? That might be the reason for the heavy damage on your pall. While I won't say (enh) shamans have the best survivability in the arenas you should not be doing too bad...

Either way, you've either just been a bit unlucky or your Shaman's really in bad gear... The idea is that he (as a DPS) should be able to DPS 1 target down fairly quick (if it isn't being healed). And if that isn't happening I reckon the problem lies with the Shammy.

Tell him to swap out a shield vs. teams with melee. His OH damage + wf procs won't be as handy as another 5k armor.

with only 150 res and only you for CC it's going to be pretty hard especially against duel dps teams. maybe try dreamstate spec and play more offensive?
