Ranged weaponsFollow

Apologies in advance for the silly question but...

How do I use my bow/crossbow/gun as a warrior? I have a crossbow equipped and I bought a stack of arrows. I bought the crossbow training and the arrows are in the 'ammo' slot in my character screen. I've dragged the crossbow to my action bar for easy use.

However, whenever I target a mob and hit the crossbow button, nothing happens. I even opened up my character screen and clicked on the crossbow, and nothing happens.

I just can't shoot!
