hello there. I got a prot paladin lvl 70 and doing heroic.

I just recently got The sun Eater from heroic mech and also i got the hammer from pvp reward (+199 Spell damage).

Witch one should i use or i will hold better agro?

I ask because with the hammer i got like +300 Spell damage, but i tend to lose agro vs 1 single normal mob (not boss) when they are 40-45% (and i am even using consecrate and JoR + HS.)

Will be the same using the sun eater and geting like +100 spell damage? or could be worse?

For the moment i have with me the 2 of them all time for those spefic cases.

PD: also enchanted +40 SD both.

PD2: i want to use the sun eater since it has a nice +dodge and +def so i can free some slot to put more STA, but no point on it if i won't hold ****.

Thank you.

PvP Mace hands down. Only real use Sun Eater is for a Paladin is to look cool as you walk around Shatt. Some would argue that it's a good idea to have a mitigation weapon that you can swap to "once you've established enough threat", but it sounds like you aren't in that position. Even if you were, I personally don't recommend doing this. You have all the rest of your gear to get avoidance on. Your weapon is for threat: ie spell damage.

If you're losing aggro with the PvP mace, Sun Eater will hurt you a lot more than normal. The increase in white damage for using the Sun Eater is pitiful compared to the drop in damage (and most importantly threat) by losing all that +spell damage on the mace.

Always Always ALWAYS take a weapon that has high spell dmg not high weapon damage. Pallies hold aggro through holy damage, warriors hold aggro through weapon damage. You're doing neither class a favor by picking up weapons like the Sun Eater.
