As a tank: do you take the spell damage pots, agility or strength potions? What flasks are mainly used?

I think your best choice of flask for paly tank is Flask of Blinding Light or Flask of Fortification.

For elixir im not sure what may be the best combo for paly tank, but elixir of major defence and elixir of mastery are always a good choice i think.

Elixir of Major Fort and Adepts Elixir with spell dam food(blackened basilisk or crunchy serpent) is usually what i use. If i'm MTing then I'll use a Flask of Fort, but since i usually have to offheal for boss fights or aoe tank adds, i need to be flexible with what buffs i can control.

I normally use Flask of Chromatic Wonder now, particularly when I'm tanking in ZA. Also in addition to the Wizard Oil, I keep around some Superior Mana Oil for speed clears or timed runs (again, much of ZA I use this because I don't have much time to stop and drink).

Despite arguments that Elixirs are "optimal" for buffing, I still use flasks primarily. Usually Fortification, sometimes Blinding Light -- unless I need resist. And yea, Superior Wizard Oil and Spicy Crawdad.

As for pots.. for trash and lower content I chug lots of Super Mana Potions or Injectors -- for Tier 6+ Bosses I find myself downing lots of Ironshield Potions mostly. I may use resist potions for some fights.

like Losie, i would suggest chain chugging ironshield potions for content that u do not outgear. for content u do outgear, mana pots will probably be useful.

every raid experience tho, should see u with food buff of some sort (stam or spell damage), a flask (fort or blinding light), wizard oil.
