I am about to switch to the protection tree as soon as I get avengers shield. I want to know how do ppl do the opening attack. Cast AS, cast concentrate, cast and judge the spell to cause holy damage and then judge (cant recall the name of the spell since I am not at my desk) and continue the fight with righteous?

You're pretty close..

The usual opener is a variation on:

Seal Righteousness
Avenger's Shield
Wings
Consecrate
Holy Shield
Judge Righteousness
Seal Righteousness
Hammer of Justice
Sprinkle Exorcism to taste

This is of course assuming you're spamming stuff, if there isn't any need to spam any of those abilties... don't, you'll learn when its needed through experience. Always Consecrate before the first Holy Shield, if you do it the other way around the Global Cooldowns will be up at the same time all of the time. If you don't need Holy Shield, don't use it. Hammer of Justice lets you turn a 5-pull of trash into a 4-pull of trash for 6 seconds, which is very often enough to deal with the first mob. In time, and as you know how your DPS works, you'll learn to use (or not use) it. Sometimes its better saved for "emergency" situations, the kind that comes up all the time in PuGs.

Seal use is another wildcard. It's not really worth judging Seal of the Crusader (increases Holy Damage) on any old trash mob. Paladins can produce a HUGE amount of threat at the onset of a fight meaning short fights won't really challenge you all that much. It's on longer boss fights where we (just like any tank) need any threat we can squeeze out. In that case, your opening judgement would most likely be Judgement of the Crusader.

Judgement/Seal of Wisdom is a debatable topic. I'm going to drain my mana on every pull. The only time I'm not going to drain my mana on every pull is if I'm chain-pulling multiple groups at a time for speed clears. It makes absolutly no sense for me to judge Wisdom on trash pulls when I *AM* going to be drinking between almost every pull anyway (oh come on.. it's only 4800 mana, it takes all of a couple seconds to drink up). Depending on your level and/or gear (esp. @ 70) the usefulness of Wisdom on bosses varies. I may judge it on Heroic bosses since the fights are so short (like raid trash :D) and I don't usually have any issues with threat. I would *only* consider judging it on a raid boss if there was a Ret Paladin already judging Crusader though.

The positioning of Wings in the rotation is personal as well. You get more threat out of it if you blow it AFTER throwing your shield, but lots of people like to get that extra boost up front. Lots of people don't even use it. You won't have to worry about it for a good while if you're just getting Avenger's Shield, but meh.. it'll come.

Basically.. you're going to find a rotation that works well for you, and you're going to modify it given whatever situations you happen to be facing. Try things out, play around, see what you like. And don't forget to take advantage of all of your abilities (HoJ ftw)otherwise why would you even have them?
