well if your a orc probably axe smith otherwise it is preference of whether you want crit and ap from the axe or stam and a proc for increased haste from the mace.

Generally I would assume the axe to be a better pvp item and the mace to be a stronger pve item for over all dps.

for the most part tho both weapons should be very close and again i would say would come down to preference.

Go with maces. Last I checked it was on par with the fist from Al'ar or the mace from Temple, since the proc scales very well. Which one of those three is best comes down to the person and the gear.

Unless, of course, you're an orc, in which case expertise ftw.

Hijacking.

Does blacksmithing provide any worthwhile high-level mail?

Leatherworking... There you have some usable mails.

If you were a blacksmith though, how would this be for a Shaman? I know the intel isn't much needed, and the Mp5 really is wasted on an Enhancement Shaman, but I know the plate version of this is one of the better chests for DPS. Just not sure where this one fits in though compared to other chests the player could acquire.

Regardless, LW is still better, but IF you were already a BS and didn't want to switch.

as long as the chest does not require a type of BS then its ok but if you have to be an armor smith to make it then your better off just picking mace or axe smithing

There's a better chest available than that from Heroic MrT. Not worth wasting BS'ing on something like that.

Leatherworking is good for shammies, but not because of the mail they can make. Most/all crafted mail is hunter gear, you're better off making the rogue leather, but it's really not worth it unless you can get your hands on some bT or Sunwell recipes.

Macesmithing is better even for orcs, IIRC. Haste proc from double Dragonstrikes > expertise.

Ya I agree with theo, but the lack of stats still probably makes the axe better in pvp. the maces do seem pimp though.

In PvP as enhancement you'll want the resilience from the S2/S3/S4 axes. Enhancement has very little mitigation, so having that extra bit helps.

thanks for all inputs, but if this is the case does it make sense to go BS only for that Axe or Mace ? As the price would be at least around +5k.
as through level up i have gather all needed ore for getting to 375 very fast . although i am not 70 yet hopefully in 2 days ( 68).

When i hit 70 i planed to go alchemy to make some potion for my main and some extra gold wont be bad and BS the second one. Now to be honest not sure if the BS is right !?

The maces last into T6+. They're that good.

/sigh

The badge fists > any pvp gear outside of S4. The two badge fists are T6 equivalent and one adds haste which is the enhance shamans friend.

Resilience sounds nice for an enhance shaman, but in reality you aren't going to live long enough in most cases for it to matter if you have 400 resilience or 250. Focus on doing as much damage as possible, typically I'll dole out 40k damage in my 5s before I'm dead and I only have 287 resilience in my pvp gear. 1/5 S2 - 2/5 S3 1/5 S4 and the 100 badge chest. 40k though, thats a healer and a clothy or rogue before I drop. My Arena team loves me. =)

Edited to say: Dragonstrikes > all. So we're clear.

I guess it is more preference but you lose a lot of stam and some resil without pvp weapons.
