So I'm coming back to WoW and decided I wanted to start getting my hunter geared up. I eventually want to get geared up for arena, but for now I think I wanna try doing kara on the hunter, get some ok epics/badges/have fun.

I need to change up my talent spec a little(switch a few points in BM)but other than that I just need some advice on what I can do to get kara ready asap.

1: Pretty much everything you need to know is either in there, or linked to in there.
2: you ask the most general question possible, wich is best answered by reading the sticky.
3: It's just about as specific as it can be, it gives stats to aim for, guidelines on pretty much everything gearing wise and points at optimal pieces. What more do you want?

Been a while since I read that sticky. Added the S2 as a viable option yet? A few S2 pieces and Quel'danas funded craftables ought to be quite easily replacing some of the harder farms in there...
Belt - guardians belt from honor.
Boots - vindicators chain sabatons honor.
Bracers - vindicators bracers from honor.
If you have the arena rating get the guardians for all
Chest - Breastplate of rapid striking for the 20 Hit 75g on AH 40agi and 40 AP, for now or socket hit and agi and keep the on you have.
There are quest rings in SMV with 15agi 50ap and 10 hit - you could get that easy.
Ranged - truestrike crossbow from SSO rep (in the sticky)
This is off the top of my head from recently going through it using the sticky. S2 helm and shoulder are very nice but you have those 2 spots covered pretty well. Gems are sub par in your shoulders though. Enhcant everything, and gem with plus agi, it seems you are pretty OK for Kara on AP but a little low on crit (much smarter here than me on this and it seems to be a discussion every couple of days or so) Save badges for what doesn't drop.
You said you were going to respec, Animal handler - great, Spirit Bond - crap
