#1 Jul 01 2008 at 8:53 AM Rating: Decent
I was reading on this forums and i have started a shaman as of yesterday. I want to mainly PvP but also to PvE. I was messing around on the talent builder on WorldofWarcraft.com and was wondering if this was an acceptable build, http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/shaman/talents.html?tal=0000000000000000000050052001555213323115105005001000000000000 please leave any feedback and if this can be improved please tell me how to do so, thank you for your time.

You've got the right idea. I think anticipation is useful but frankly those five points can be spent better elsewhere. Nature's Guidance in resto is key since it'll significantly cut your misses while you dual-wield. You also need to max out weapons mastery -- why leave an extra 6% damage on the table? And for PvP Guardian totems is essential -- 2 secs off your grounding totem can make a huge difference. If you want you can keep a couple of points in toughness or anticipation -- I havent tried using toughness in PvP but havent heard great reviews. As long as you max weapons mastery and nature's guidance you've got the core enhance talents covered.

i would change the starting resto tree and take the .5 second cast reduction time, big help if you dont want to take any in healing focus

overall it looks a lot like my build and i find it does excellent PvP dps. anticipation and toughness gives you that extra little chance to avoid being kited to death or another chain stun death at the hands of a cheap *** rogue (who then vanish like little pussies when you do manage to get your fair shots in)
