Hello,

I'm playing an affliction warlock.

I would like to get an opinion from the more experienced warlocks.

I have an option at the moment trinket wise

a. Get the badge trinket (Icon.....) ...OR...
b. Get the Trinket from HC Slave Pens, the one that gives +37 spell damage and the spell haste proc.

Now is the one from HC SP worth getting or should I just get the badge vendor one??

thank you for the help.

Why do you ask "or"?

What is your other trinket right now?

I am using the badge one and the MgT one, as haste is nice, but not as big a deal for an affliction lock when compared to a destro lock.

I'm using the HC MGT one atm.

So I can use one more trinket, is the badge vendor one a better option for an affliction lock?

Icon will give you a small dps bonus over Quags eye as a destruction lock. It will give you a slightly larger upgrade as affliction since haste does not effect dots.

In short, get the Icon, you don't need to wait for it to drop either. However, if you have the gold get the blessings deck and turn it into the fair when it comes around next.

The badge trinket is a far better choice. More damage, gives more benefit to Affliction spells and is more reliable.

Timbal's Focusing Crystal

That's what I use. It rocks for Aff 'locks.

I need to pick up a second 'good' one yet.

That depends on your other trinket, mainly.

I use Scryer's Bloodgem and Icon of the Silver Crescent for bosses, at the moment (I haven't gotten my hands on Timbal's, and I still need a couple things to retain hit cap to take out the Bloodgem).

But I use Icon and Quagmirran's Eye for trash, since my gear is slightly different for trash mobs and I don't need the hit cap as much because the mobs are only 2 levels higher, maximum.

If you were able to get your hands on it, I would say that Darkmoon Card: Crusade is probably better than any of the others, because, as an affliction lock, the buff will almost always be up (this, of course, depending on the fight).

icon of the silver crescent is simply one of the best trinkets available to all locks. You can't go wrong with it, and will probably not replace it for quite some time unless you are very very lucky.
