Need Solo Shaman Talent Tree HelpFollow

#1 Jun 30 2008 at 5:07 PM Rating: Decent
I have been playing around with the talent tree tools, and I am probably more confused than when I started. I like the lightning bolt, and the chain lightning, and I don't mind Melee either, But What I am mostly looking for is help on the talent tree to help me solo my Shaman... I was thinking this tree, but I don't know...

Elemental (11 points)

5/5 Convection
5/5 Concussion
1/5 Call of Thunder

Enhancement (31 points)

5/5 Ancestral Knowledge
5/5 Shield Specialization
5/5 Thundering Strikes
3/3 Improved Lightning Shield
5/5 Flurry
1/5 Toughness
1/1 Spirit Weapons
5/5 Weapon Mastery
1/1 Dual Wield

Restoration (5 points)

5/5 Tidal Focus

All I know is I like to solo, but find it almost impossible to do so... I play on PvE and don't PVP at all (or VERY rarely) and I am finding it almost impossible to solo with her.

Thanks for the help.

This is the talent tree I would use for solo play and for leveling. There are 3 extra points that are not spent that you are free to put wherever. hope this helps

I would use this one, simply because I find instant ghost wolf to be of very little value.

Improved ghostwolf is superb in my opinion while levelling, first until 40, then to travel short bits between mob groups/ mob camps or whatever or just to get a quick getaway with Earthbind -> Imp ghostwolf -> Byebye!

Would never drop those, but ... opinion.

While leveling, Imp Ghostwolf is irreplacable to me at least. I can't count how many times an instant "run away!" mode has saved my **** from adds. Not to mention saved me alot of time when doing all the running between packs of questmobs/areas/items.

Here's the talent build I use for leveling...

Granted, I still haven't hit the resto part yet, but it's what I'm aiming for. When I hit 70 or possibly a little sooner I'll change Imp GW with Guardian Totems for more instance viability. It's not what's up most often in an instance, but nor is Ghost Wolf.

Dude... Running away... I never think to do that...

Yeah I can see how awesome Imp. Ghost Wolf would be if you actually ran from a fight. I usually put everything I have into dying lol.

Why doesnt anybody of you use healing focus, when you have already some points spent in resto?
Getting uninterrupted heals even with some mobs hitting you simultanously is really a livesaver.
(and with WOTLK it will require 2 points less).

OK, I'm full resto, I can't imagine fighting without healing anyways ;-)
