Where Do I go now at 70Follow

#1 Jun 30 2008 at 7:41 AM Rating: Default
OK heres my story and what i need help figuring out. Shortly after TBC came out I quit WoW for almost a year give or take. Upon Returning I lvled myself from 67 to 70 and tried to get into a couple of instances with different pick up groups. They tooka look at my gear mainly Greens from random quests and told me that there was no way.

So my question is this Since i am new back on and have no guild no real friends anymore in the game what should i be doing to upgrade gear what quests what zones in particualr. All that good stuff. Im a Tailor Enchantor and I am working on that atm along with some Quests just in random zones to get money so i can buy my epic Flight training. I just made enough money for the reg training last week.

Any help in this would be great Thank you in Advanced

In the main forums, in the post labeled "Forum FAQ v2.0 - PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING!" all in caps and everything so you know it's important is this:

"I've reached Level 70 and don't know what to do"

That's all the work I'm gonna do for you, to get the actual answer, look where you should have looked in the first place.

Sorry if my post made it sound like I didnt know that there was still a lot of content left to see/do.

Bad wording on my part. The heart of the question is more of a What Quests/Zones are the best to do. Where should I be headed. For Warlocks in Particular what is some good things to run which factions are benificial. what quests have you soloed or maybe two maned that gave you pretty decent gear that you can think of. That kinda stuff.

I put this question out there because I can find a 100 Posts about what to do for uber people with raiding guilds IE Kara Heroics Get this super armor get that super armor. But what about the causual player who is only on a couple hours a night. I dont need to be uber but i dont want to hurt any groups that im in because My gear is so bad that my Damage stinks.

Thank you about the Frozen Shadoweave I will start working on getting that it is deffinetly better then what im wearing atm.

Run every quest you can. Even if the item reward is not good, the money is. Questing at 70 can make you bare minimum 100 gold an hour. You can in turn use this money to get 2 sets of gear that will last potentially into T6 content. FSW and Spellstrike.

"What you should be doing" really depends on what your goals are. For cash start running the dailies. The Isle alone is 30-60 min for 130ish gold. Not too shabby. You can easily push 200 gold in 90 min or less (as a DPS, don't make me relive doing them as a tankadin!) with a few others. Also, high-level enchanting mats (from breaking tailored items) can also be a solid source of income. But you knew that already, right? ;)

Kara is not über honestly. Finding a decent Kara group isn't all that hard anymore with or without a guild. There are pugs on my server every weekend and while the thought of pugging Kara freaks me out a bit, it might worth a try if you're un-guilded. If raiding is your goal you will want to start running instances for gear drops and vital experience. Then start looking to do heroics for badges. If you're having trouble pugging regular instances then either A) your server is full of jack-ashes or B) you're geared very badly for groups. Check these forums, warlock's den, elitist jerks and others for gearing suggestions/lists/etc. and don't give up! Keep an eye on LFG channel while you run your dailies. You never know when a group will form.

If you're into PvP then grab the Dreadweave Battlegear (which is available for some Honored reps and a few gold) and head into some battlegrounds for kicks. Start saving up the honor points and start upgrading your gear. I'd suggest that nearly all PvP gear is good for PvP and mediocre or terrible for PvE. I keep different sets for BGs and raiding on all my toons.

Again, what you upgrade and how you get the gear depends on what part of the game interests you.

Those people are just stupid. I can understand not wanting to take a fresh 70 in greens into a heroic (or MGT), but anyone who won't let you into a regular level 70 instance is a moron. How are you supposed to gear up without running instances? Yes, there's crafted stuff and quest rewards, but you should still be able to run normal instances.
