Where do druid rank on caster dps, I'm talking equally geared. Lets say, startting with Kara and on from there do they get stronger/weaker at some point? How are they compared to mages/locks/spriests? Curious as I always shunned Balance and leveled mostly with feral, then went resto. Balance worth it at all?

Ichee, our Boomkin
His record on Gorefiend was 1700 dps.
Indo, our best frost Mage.
His record on Gorefiend was 1900 dps.
Galaxi, our best Lock
His record on Gorefiend is 2200 dps.
Darkbushido, our best Spriest
His record on Gorefiend is 1500 dps.
I don't know how this would scale though, I never paid that much attention to it.
Edit: Saw this got bumped up, didn't notice Spriests before so I added Darkbushido.
Gorefiend is a very non-mobile fight. Assuming you don't get ghosts, he's your best shot at a dps record before Brutallus.

And Boomkin will always be replaced in 5-mans by a mage or lock, unless there is already one there, in which case why are they looking for a boomkin?
They're good in raids because of the aura and oomervate. I'd stick with resto, because I LOVE resto.

For a number of reasons. the group I did Heroic SH with earlier today lavished the praise when I, as boomkin, managed to save the group from a few wipes due to some unfortunate LOS for the healer and some horrible pulls. Innervate, Tranquility, Brez. Can a Mage heal the entire group when the **** hits the fan? ;)
