heal rfk plz?
heal SMLIB plz?
heal rfk plz?
heal rfk plz?
heal bfd plz?
heal bfd plz?
can u heal sm armory?
heal rfd plz?
can u boost me in rfc?
are u heal?

plus 3 blind invites.

The last ten minutes of my whisper history..

Now, I don't mind healing, I used to have a resto druid and resto shammy, but I really loathe people that just do the "healXplz?" thing, what happened to asking politely without butchering the english language?

In other words, bless the "busy" button in the cellular addon(a whisper addon).

putting SHADOW it large caps in your pug description, and still getting asked to heal. worse than that is when you get invited based on your lfg and then they expect your a healer :(

everyone thinks sunffire robes is a mage only item :(

I hate this sort of thing with a passion. I have a macro for people who irritate me particularly badly that goes something like this:
/r Hi, you've whispered me randomly to heal for you. Sorry, not today. Either I'm specced shadow, busy, or am fed up of people whispering me out of the blue.

My other pet peeve is when I'm quizzed about my +healing whenever joining a group for a heroic. I can understand why they do it so I'll answer, but not without demanding how much ap/+dmg/hp they have.

I'm sure I'd get mightily irritated if it happened to me that much, too. But the Horde population on my server is really low, and while I get whispers sometimes, it's not often enough to be intrusive. It doesn't bother me as long as it's once. What I really hate is when you say no and they argue. Why not? Aw, come on? We really need someone? Or my favorite:

THEM: can u come heal <whatever>?
ME: Thanks for thinking of me but I can't, sorry
THEM: plz?????

Oh, well, since you said PLZ, I'll be right over. Meet at the stone?

Yeah, when I'm trying to round up a tank, I try to write out a polite, informative invitation: "Sorry to spam you, but I'm going to be healing a badge run of the daily heroic, the Mana Tombs. Would you be willing to tank it?" Then I copy that and paste it into whispers to the level 70 Warriors, Druids and Paladins that /who shows are in Shattrath and Orgrimmar.

Just remember that as much as you hate being pestered to come heal now, you'll hate not being able to find a tank at endgame even more. I, for one, welcome our new Death Knight overlords--their addition should increase the percentage of tanks online considerably.

Shadowpriests can heal pre-60 just fine. Even in Outland, you can heal decently with some healing gear in your bag. If you put SHADOW in the description, it says nothing. If you don't want to heal, you should put thát in the description.

In fact, shadowpriests are imo are better off-spec healers than non-resto druids/shamans and non-holy paladins.

Back on topic.
I hate it when arms/fury warriors and feral druids say they "can't tank" or "are better at dps" (pre-70 and normal 70 instances). I've seen some fury warrior tanks who were better than some protwarriors I've grouped with.

Also, I often get random whispers to heal an instance. If I don't have the time, am busy questing or am just not interested in the chosen instance (mostly because of loot), I just respond with a "no thanks". If they ask again I say "no thanks" and if they keep asking or even begging, I just put them on ignore.

umm I guess I should have stated heroics

But yah I healed UB through mana tombs as shadow with whatever gear I could find.
I've even healed a heroic or two with my heal set and shadow spec.

Jesus. Christ. I love you. I thought I was the only one.

I've had people in heroics (Usually idiotic hunters who are autoshot only.) who are wearing mostly outland-quest greens give me crap about "not having enough healing." Mind you, my healing set consists of 1600 healing, which is pretty damn good considering it's a secondary spec for me and consists of pretty much all Kara gear that I got while running for badges.

I hate the fact that the Holy Pally in my guild is almost impossible to keep up with in healing, but he also has 15,000 armor.

I don't mind the whispers... My server's got a medium population and so I only get ~2 whispers an evening which is fine. At times they even come at a right moment so I can join.

The worst thing about being a priest is

[13:15][Party][Member 1]: Are you healing or DPS?
[13:16][Party][Me]: I can do either
[13:16][Party][Member 2]: Good, that means we just need a tank
[15:00][Party][Me]: *Sighs*
Party member 1, 2 and 3 have left the party.
Your group has been disbanded.

I still get whispers for people wanting to run normal Durneholde... while I'm in BT or Sunwell. Fortunately, it's a high-pop server, so there's plenty of other people who are likely even more harassed than me :D

Second-worst thing about being a (shadow) priest: having to hold competitions between yourself and the other 2 shadow priests, because everyone else does so much more damage.

Best thing about being a shadow priest: people argue over you. "I don't get a spriest?" "Can I have that other spriest, he gives more mana!"

I ended up re-specializing after 4-5 ramps runs a blood furnace and a Mana Tombs without feeling as useful. I feel more comfortable with my healing and displine talents and primal mooncloth. Oh well.

While playing around some more I came up with another 'worst' thing about being a priest;

Your smite hits Mob X for 400!
Your mind blast critically hits Mob X for 800!
Your Shadow Word: Death hits mob X for 600!
You gain 600 damage trough Shadow Word: Death.
You hit Mob X for 5 damage.
Mob X Dies.

It gets a lot worse when your SWD regularly crits for 30% of your health :p

Aye, I suppose I'm lucky not to be shadow there :P Still, there's nothing as annoying as casting a SW:D which leaves the mob with 1% health.

I find the BGs to be worse than PVE, especially WSG and AB.

It usually goes like this:

I automatically buff people prior to the start of the BG, so people quickly pick up on the fact that a priest is in the group. At least one fool, sometimes two, will whisper me something like "follow me around and heal me and we will pawn". Usually its someone who is not level x9 or is not well geared.

They never get healed even when they have a macro to YELL FOR HEALING. :)

Speaking of which, 2 days back I actually had someone whispering me nearly literally "you be my personal healer k?". I should've told him to stick his personal healer where the sun don't shine, but instead I replied I'm nobody's healer.

LOL this is so true. I leveled a lock to 70 and never had a blind invite or even invites to instances, etc.. My priest is 64 and every single time I log on I get spammed and/or blind invites.

ONE time I did accept a blind invite just for the hell of it and the party leader was obviously ninja looting everything with no intent on sharing. I hearthed out lol, so I will never do that again.

The worst thing about being a priest is my uncontrollable fantasies about how kick *** we would be if we could wear Plate. Just the thought of how completely unstoppable we would be is just sick.

Completely off topic, but . . .

My main is a prot tank. I can't tell you how many times I've died when I shouldn't have because a healer didn't have enough healing power for the content.

Btw, wanna ask a prot warrior a meaningful question? Ask them how much "effective health" they have. Or just "what's your EH?" If they don't know the answer, they are very under-educated as a prot tank! (For heroics other than MgT, btw, an aswer over about 37,000 is fine. For MgT you want to see 42k or so).

you didnt die because he didnt have enough +healing, its because he wasnt good enough at healing. his +healing would have to be dramatically low for you to die because of that and if that was the case the party leader should have looked at his gear to make sure he was geared well enough for what you were doing.
