Ok so guild wanted a survival hunter, so i decided i would take up the task. Raid buffed i'm running at 1135 agility, and 49% crit. I was avg. around 1200dps on boss fights. My question is, is this about the best I can expect to see as a survival? I'm using 3:2 shot rotation.

Just looking for any other survival hunter experiance.

You might get better DPS out of a 1:1.5 rotation unless hasted or if you have a really quick weapon.

You cannot compare raid buffed values, but to give you an idea. I'm running ~900-920agi, 38%crit, 2.5k rap unbuffed ATM. Depending on raid buffs I get somewhat between 1.1-1.2k agi, 45-50%crit and ~3.2k rap raid buffed.
DPS greatly depends on the encounter, the group support and debuffs on the opponent, so it is hard how good you do.
To give you some ideas:
Sunwell: Against Kalecgos I have ~1.1k dps (no group support, and I cannot use my pet there); against Brutallus I do ~1.7-1.8k dps (feral druid, resto shaman; no heroism no other group support).
BT: Against Illidari Council I usually have 1.3k dps (no group support except for a feral druid sometimes). Against Teron Gorefiend I have ~1.5k dps (no group support, this number can be a bit off since it is some weeks when we did Teron the last time).
MH: Winterchill >= ~1.7k dps (usually a feral druid and a heroism); Azgalor ~1.6-1.7k dps (sometimes a heroism, no other support).

I just like survival because you get a longer shot with improved 6 yards of shot range. That helps a lot.

Which boss fights are you talking about? 1200 is going to be pretty decent for some fights, be REALLY low for some others.

I just switched to SV. I have around 1022 buffed Agi, 2700 AP and 38% crit during raids without Grace of Air or Leader of the Pack. I was doing about 1350 DPS on Teron Gorefiend last night. I don't have any other bosses to compare to, since I've only been SV for 1 day of raiding.

But you probably shouldn't be using a 3:2 rotation for SV. You need a TON of haste to get down to a 2.0 autoshot speed, which is about where you need to be for a 3:2. Use a 1:1.5 rotation. The macro for it is posted in Aethien's sticky.

With a 3.0 speed weapon and 80+ passive haste a 3:2 becomes viable for SV.
On one condition, and that is that you have 4pc T6.

Grats on premium Aethien. I love your avatar too dude.

Btw, what would be the minimum unbuffed agility to go raiding survival, 600?

I would shoot for ~650 agi after LR at the very least.

Heh, yeah. I remembered about three minutes after I posted.

How much of an increase is 15%? 150 agi?

It's about 115 out of my (close to) 900 unbuffed agi.
