As the title suggests ts, im gearing up my semi new 70 rogue for pvp. To make it easiest to gear up, was wondering if you guys would suggest a beneficial order based on what armor i have thus far.

Pertinent Information:

Armory: Deklin of Arygos http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Arygos&n=Deklin
Spec: One of Theo's wonderful 20/0/41 specs. On a side note, always rating up for that thread its helped me tremendously
Current armor: The bracers, rings belt ect are trash, i know and im grinding away to get them replaced, main purpose of this thread.

So my main question is should I go for bracers/rings/waist now and keep the set bonuses of the Opportunist blues, or should i go for the 5 piece Merciless because of the extra 10 energy ect.

Now, Ultimately the goal is to have it all, but a preferential order could help me out in getting it.

Thanks in advance.

What weapons are you using?

If they are quest rewards, or dungeon blues, first update them...

Otherwise, the order doesn't really matter that much I believe.

I really can't think of an order to suggest :S

I hope theo can give you one...

I'm kinda in the same boat, just hit 70 not to long ago.
After about 3 days at 70 I started to run Bgs,
that will account for the pvp gear that I have (Complete idiot, that didn't realize how close to the end of the season it was)
Should my first upgrade be the new weapons, or should I just complete changing all my non pvp gear (Like my crappy green belt) before I start working on the new items?

One other question which I have seen the answer to some where before (Most likely in one of the stickies, I will check them again later on after I get to play WoW for a bit)

I have heard two different sides about agility.... One side says, pack as much Agi on as possible, the other says, put a little bit on, but just throw mostly attack power and a little crit rating on.

I'm pretty much doing the same thing as the OP. Im still only 69 but have been BGing fiercely over the last couple weeks so I'll try to offer what I can.

1. Medallion of the Alliance/Horde - The 2 minute movement impairing removal trinket should be your first purchase. It only costs 8000 honor and will really help.

2. Season 2 Swords - These are by far the best thing for a Rogue as they are good in PvE as well. These should be your 2nd upgrade. Mongoose should be applied to both.

3. Season 2 Set - Start with the bigger pieces. The chest, legs, and head cost the most honor and marks but also grant the most resilience.

4. Necklace, Rings, Belt, Waist - After you have the S2 set you can focus on the smaller pieces. The Vindicators stuff adds some really nice stats.

5. Trinkets and Cloak - The last of your upgrades. Dory's Embrace can be bought with badges out of Shattrath City as can the Battlemaster Trinkets. No need to waste honor on the Sergeant's Cloak or the BM Trinkets.

Like I said Im not 70 but that is the path Im taking. If I am incorrect in any detail please feel free to correct me.

more of a side question, but related to the OP, wanted to make sure that my brain was functioning, S2 can be bought when you hit honored with most factions or is that the junk PVP stuff and S2 is all bought with honor?

One other question, when starting PVP at 70, is it worth it to buy all the "welfare epics" from the various factions and then use that to start the long PVP grind for the various better pieces bought from honor?

A common route to take is Trinket, Weapons, Gloves, Vindicators, s2 Glad gear. Don't know that it's "best", but seems that anyone interested in serious Arena play does something similar now that there is some base-level PvP gear available for rep.

Also note that you will need to have a PvE set separate from your PvP set (different spec too) if you plan any semi-serious heroics or raiding.

Good luck out there and remember: Bal isn't all there is. =)

I have to disagree. Gloves first, because they give your DT an important extra effect (interrupt casts).

Also you mention mostly pvp items while you can get great stuff through badges. I'd personally do the heroic daily and kara as much as possible and get the badges weapons which are great, while getting armor through honor/arena.

Making sure you are doing at least 10 arena games a week, and grab the S4 Gloves instead of S2 :)

If I remember correctly the Battlemaster Trinkets are worthless for rogues. I personally use the Medallion of the Horde and Bloodlust Brooch. The extra 1750(I think it is) is worthless for rogues. Cheat death is pretty much all we need. I would have the Shadowsong Panther, but I am not a JC just yet.

I have a curiosity question regarding pvp gear. My two rogues, 36 and 15 are going to be doing pvp in BGs. Is it worth it to purchase any of the PvP gear, or just play in what I got? I'm not twinking and I'm not staying in any of the x9 levels either. Just doing BG on the way to 70. That way, I can get whatever season is out when I hit 70.

Note: didn't want to start a new thread since this one was already here. (-:
