Can anyone give me tips on how to solo with a rogue? Is having 2 swords instead of 2 daggers really better for soloing, focusing on combat and assasination instead of sublety? I just want to be able to solo moderatly easily. Im not looking for an easy ride, just a fun one, thanks.
The best tip I can give you is to check out the Rogue Guide stickied on this page. Just read through it and you should have all the info you'll need to get started.
See the stickies for more info but basically Combat Swords is the most efficient leveling build. Which build is more fun to you is another story.

I've just respec'd Subtlety though (59, just hit outlands ... got 2 new, nice shiny daggers) ... just to give it a whirl. I seem to make a habit of this, I respec'd my Warrior and Mage to a totally different spec when I hit outlands, perhaps my inner-psyche demands a total change once I hit expansion content.
Still trying to decide whether to go all out and try Hemo as a main attack, or stick with SS ... dunno, but I intend to be doing some horrible sneaky, backstabby goodness, and intend have a boatload of fun doing so ;-)
Will report back once I have a clearer idea on how it really is ;-)

My rogue just hit 50 and I went mutilate. Combat swords is faster, more efficient, but (IMO) mutilate is more 'roguish'. Positioning is important, proper uses of gouge, blind on adds (no BF), kidney shots and such. It's terribly fun, but I'm sure I'll want to go back to some speed for leveling later on as combat swords is faster. It just feels like you're a leather wearing warrior that walks up and slices peoples' faces off. Got a bit dull after 50 levels, so I decided to try mutilate.
1. Kill stuff.
2. Don't die.
3. Loot junk.
4. Yell at noobs in /general
5. Eat and drink.
6. Take a **** in the bush.
7. Drop a pie behind the tree.
8. Vanish
9. Pick pockets
10. Profit!
