Well, now that S4 is here and they've bumped up the amount of hit we get from each main piece (17 per helm, legs, chest instead of 12), getting 79 hit in PvP gear is now trivial. We no longer have to use Surefooted.
What does this mean for us shadowsteppers?
RED/Cat's is the new meta/boots combo of S4.
What does that mean for gemming?
Not a whole lot, to be honest. What you'll see is instead of two Wicked Pyrestones (5crit/10AP) you'll see Jagged Seasprays (5crit/7Stam) in two sockets, the rest red gems, either Delicate Crimson Spinels (10 Agi for ~1970-1990ish AP, 38-39% crit) or Bold Crimson Spinels (20 AP for ~2030-2060ish AP, 35% crit).
I personally am going with the latter route, AP. As to where my green gems are going, I'll be putting them In my shoulders/chest yellow slots. I could use Mantle of Darkness instead of S2, but S2 will be vital to Cheat Death in 2.4.3, so thus I'm getting prepared.
Expect to see some changes in my gear in the next week or two (a week and a half will herald my helm and boots, as I have 844 points currently).
Edit: as far as mutilate goes, you will want to keep surefooted/5% snare resist meta, as well as AP gems.
