Hello,
I am new to the Shaman and am completely clueless on what to do. What talent should I spec in? What are the good armor and weapons? Lastly, what professions should I do? I already have plenty of gold so I don't need any moneymaking ones. Any other tips would be great. Thank you. :-) Also, what attributes should I try to get? I'm guessing stam, spirit and intellect.

I guess the first thing you would want to do, is read the sticky. All the answers are there.. or mostly. What armor to use ? Leather until 40. Weapons ? Up to you, chose one you like!
Specs? What do you like, healing (resto), casting (elemental) or doing some melee (enhancement)?
Professions? Skinner / LW could be a good idea. Herb / Alch... depending on what you prefer, or want to do... or what other characters you have!
Spend few minutes reading the FAQ or wowwiki, you have good information there to help you start.

Really the best suggestion I have would be to read Paracleets shaman FAQ found here. After you read that and get some idea and you have some other questions, we would be glad to answer them. Especially if you are just starting out there is a ton of information that would take forever to explain. Its really a good guide, one that I read myself when I started, and it helps greatly. Besides that, I have posted a thread containing many links to a bunch of resources that should answer almost any question you may have found here.

While leveling, be Enhancement.
As Enhancement, Strength and Attack Power increase your rate of killing (and thus help you level faster). Intellect and Stamina increase mana/hp (and thus help you level safer). For me, leveling faster is vastly preferable to leveling safer - when leveling a character I focus as much on offense as possible (and inevitably still end up with plenty of int/stam on gear)
