Trying to maximize my shamans DPS for raids.. I know that all stats are important for the class/spec.

And in short. You want a high crit rate and as much AP (preferably from strengh stats for BoK) as possible.
You'll also need enough stamina to survive AoE attacks and spells.
Crit rate should be around 30%
AP 1000+ (the more the better)
Also get the right weapons for optimal WF and SS damage.

I'd say 25% crit and 1400Ap would be really good for just starting Kara. That's mostly instance blues, with room for a few crafted/PvP pieces and a few older quest pieces. You also want two level 70, 2.4-or-slower weapons if you can, or something ever-so-slightly worse.
I'm having trouble getting my AP up around the 2k level. I hear of others being there (with ease?) but I'm stuck just over 1400. I have gear from Kara/ZA. I raid up to the first boss in Hyjal. I lil over 1k dps fully raid buffed. I'm not sure what I'm missing here.(Dont look at my pants! I know I'm in dire need of an upgrade :P)
