Resto pointers.Follow

Hey everyone.
Just switched resto as of Season 4. I picked up the Merciless Kodohide Shoulders, Legs, Mace, Oh, and bought the s4 gloves, with the s4 helm hopefully soon to follow.
I have the battlemasters trinket, and random other pve healing rings and some crappy neck and boots, all thats not resto is my S1 feral helm, belt and bracers.

Now, this gives me 1228 heal I think, 82 mana regen while casting (not sure if thats crappy, probs is)
7.75K Mana(what is good?).If you guys could tell me if those stats are alrightish and which ones need a real boost. How should I gem? I have picked up a few epic heal gems from heroics, Imperial and Royal Tanzanite. Could you please list the enchants I can get,(i got the major heal on weap).

Now, I have done a few bgs as resto, I can heal others alright and its mighty fun, but when they come after me if im lucky i can run into my horde friends and keep myself alive, but when fighting against stun classes and cc classes, I cant survive. I have watched in frustration at how long resto druids can stay alive, and I need a few tips before I venture into arena with my Ms warr bud :).
