Macro PleaseFollow

Well, there is no correct opener. It all depends on what you are doing at the time. For soloing:

Pounce
FFF
Mangle
Shred
Shred again if OOC procs
Rip at 4 combo points
Spam Mangle

Now, if you are in an instance the rotation is totally different. I'm sure I will be corrected on this, but I open with Ravage, then Mangle once, shred to 4 combo points, rip and repeat. Reapply Mangle every 12 sec to keep the debuff up. Cower if you need it and FFF when you are out of energy.

When you want to go and tank, it really depends on the number of mobs you will be tanking (and not having cc). If you will only be tanking one, and you have 30 or so rage, just pull with FFF. Less than 30-ish rage, I'll pull with moonfire. Tanking 2 targets, I'll moonfire the secondary target to have a little aggro to start off, shift to bear and then tank the primary. I always open with Mangle, Lacerate a ton, re-Mangle when the cooldown is up, and swipe if you can (more than one target, and no cc'd targets close). For three I can Wrath the secondary, starfire the tertiary and then normal rotation on the primary. 3 or more, I generally pull with Hurricane.

Really, it comes down to the experience level of your group. Does the dps start early on the primary target? Are you rage starved? Are you loosing some mobs to healing aggro because the healer starts too early?

http://www.wowwiki.com/Useful_macros/Druid has some macros, I'd point you in a better direction, but I rarely use macros...I've just memorized the buttons to push...8, 9, 2, 3, 3, 5 will get me the kitty opener described above (with the OOC proc)

I'm a huge macro fan, but not for automating sequences of attacks. More for "if then" attacks. Everything I do in cat form, including all my openers, but except for my finishing moves, is done with two really simple macros:

Kill From Front
- Not-stealthed, combat or not: Mangle
- Stealthed: Pounce
- It also activates my on-use AP booster Crystalforged Trinket unless it's on cooldown, because without it automated I never use it enough.

/use Crystalforged Trinket 
/cast [stealth] Pounce; [nostealth] Mangle (Cat)(Rank3); 

Kill From Behind:
- Non-combat, non-stealthed: Prowl
- Non-combat, stealthed: Ravage
- Combat: Shred

/cast [nostealth,nocombat] Prowl, [stealth] Ravage; [nostealth,combat] Shred 

So if I'm in cat form I can stealth and open up a can of whoopass by hitting 2,1,-,1,2,2 (pounce, fff is -, mangle, shred, second shred with ooc proc...I actually thought we'd all agreed this was the optimal opener, oh well it's mine) and then when I'm in combat I just spam 1 from the front and 2 if I'm behind 'em.


In bear form for tanking the only macro I have is one where one click pops me to bear (or pops me BACK into bear for a powershift) and a second click (within 3 seconds) feral charges a hostile target if I have one. I don't have a macro for opening/pulling because 9 times out of 10 I just pull with feral faerie fire, and when I do want to open with magic I just Starfire one, switch targets Moonfire the next and pop to bear. Since you change targets castsequence doesn't work, at least not the way I know how to do it.
