Dude - you're a fire mage : get Pyro. You should've had that at lvl 20. That should be your #1 target.
Otherwise, I think you're doing just fine. The real question is - are you having fun? If so, then you're doing fine.

You look like your doing pretty good. My advice right now would be start looking for items with more spell damage on them and also preferably any "of the Eagle" gear rather than "of the Whale".
Also, your spec should be going 5/5 Improved Fireball, 5/5 Ignite, 1/1 Pyroblast 2/2 Incineration 2/2 Burning Soul next i would go for 3/3 Improved Scorch, than 2/2 Flamethrowing and you can check back in later for more spec help.
EDIT: Actually you could also take the points out of Improved Fireblast and just finish Flamethrowing/ more into Ignite if you wanted.

Thanks for the input will get all this fixed soon...and YES I am having lots of fun burning things....when I get higher I MIGHT try to spec frost and give it a chance just to see whats up but ...I plan on being a raid fire mage one day :-)

That is best part of leveling a mage. Fire and Frost are so different, but both are sooooooo much fun!!!
For frost, you may want to wait until lvl 40 to switch over. Then, you'll have Ice Barrier, and you can mage tank :)

Absolutely, Ice barrier is a great spell. I started as a fire mage and stayed with it until 50's, then I switched to frost. I do miss being a fire mage at times, but I need cc.
