My boy wants to play a BM Hunter. We looked at the racial stats and he picked nightelf (due to the starting Agi at 25, plus the hunter stat of +3 giving him a mad agi starting). He wants to use his pet as a tank (yes, I have petopia in my Fav). So I'm wondering what class goes best with a BM hunter. Starting point is not an issue as I'm probally going to run both of them to SW (if I don't already start there)and we will probally be playing PvE.

Honestly, pretty much anything is viable. If you want to run instances, try a pally to make it easier to fill in that tank or healer role, and buff the hunter nicely.
Other than that, just go with that you think you won't hate playing.

If you go as a tank you can fill the healer or tank role, which will give you flexibility. Of course for leveling 2 hunters would be godly. It doesn't really matter. For end game stuff you'll be better served getting into instances as a tank/healer.
