Question for those of you 70's who are specced Holy for raiding: how do you do your dailies, farming for gold, mats, etc.? Is it a pain, or not that big a deal? Do you carry a separate set of gear for it? I assume you don't respec that regularly? I know some tree druids find farming/dailies painful, and wondered if that was the case with healing priests at the level cap as well.

When I first hit 70 I had issues admittedly. I respecced shadow for a week to farm primals for my mooncloth set, which I have to say was eye-opening as I'd levelled my first priest holy so yes I was surprised at how much faster things died.

As my healing gear has got better though I've found that the +damage element of my healing gear was better than dps gear I could have easily picked up and the gear I had soloed with up to 70, so for the most part my healing gear remains the same as my soloing gear, I do switch out some gear; namely a trinket, weapon and neckpiece for caster gear but otherwise everything dies quickly enough for me not to be an issue.

I'm sure if I spent a bit of time I could pick up a second set to improve my dps and efficiency a little but to be honest mobs which were taking an age to die when I first hit 70 die quickly enough now that spending overly long picking up a full second set seems a little pointless.

If you're in a guild that doesn't mind you picking up off-spec tokens for tier gear (where no one else can make use of it) though or groups in instances that don't mind you rolling on off-spec gear for soloing on items that would have been sharded anyway then pick them up, every little helps, doesn't hurt to politely ask if they mind.

It's never been a problem. I just wear my PVP gear for dailies--always a good idea on a PVP server--and burn through mobs pretty fast. Priests have plenty of DPS, it's just not very mana efficient unless you're shadow.

Farming means circling Nagrand, mining adamantite and zapthrottling motes of air until I have enough gold to buy whatever I need on the AH. In theory, anyway. I don't have to do much farming thanks to my AH business.

When specced holy my grind does go slower. The mana regeneration is so good that you never ever stop though. Things balance out in the end

When they added +damage to the healing gear, they really helped us with the dailies. My healing gear has around +750 damage.

I equip my Netherwing Trinket when not in an instance, so I can call my helper if I pull more mobs than expected. I've never had a problem doing dailies. I'm just not as fast as some other classes.

In the beginning it was a pain, so much farming to do to make the primal mooncloth set, lots of new gear so lots of enchants, it was hard work. I farmed everything and spent minimal on the AH - perhaps now with more dailies available the gold may flow a little easier for you. Now I have reasonable gear (T5 level) its really no problem at all to farm, I have a damage set too but don't bother to wear it (with the exception of a couple of pieces) as I can't stand that my mana regen is no-where near as good in it and I need to take mana breaks!

Thanks for the replies, all. Sounds like it'll be very workable. :)

I simply don't farm. It's too boring.
I am earning gold from trades and buy everything I need.

I don't even farm with my rogue.
