Does Shat faction make a big difference?Follow

I went back 7 pages to look for info, and all the big FAQ says is shoulder inscriptions weigh heavier towards AP or Crit. I went to WoWWiki and did some searching through the info on there and both sides seem to have stuff I could make good use of (especially since I don't raid/pvp much).

For a BM hunter working on Dragonscale LW, is there a better faction to pick? Or does it come down to personal preference?

The costs depend on your server. It's not a huge deal, it won't be game breaking in any scenario.

I picked Scryers because of three things:
1. I got sick of dying when I didn't quite make the elevator. Now that I have a flying mount, it doesn't matter.
2. The Scryers have an enchanting trainer on their tier (but no reputation formulas). Now that I'm 375 enchanting, it doesn't matter.
3. There isn't a huge, game-breaking different between the exalted inscriptions. At a T5 level, there is a <1 DPS difference between the two. So that doesn't matter.

The only thing that really matters at this point is the fact that the Shattered Sun Pendant of Might is DAMN good as Aldor, and mediocre at best for Scryers.

So now that I'm exalted with the Scryers, and I'd have to go out of my way to get Aldor rep, I'm stuck. Oh well. In a few months, when WotLK comes out, it won't matter a single bit.

My suggestion would be to set your hearth up with the Scryers but don't build ANY rep with them until you get your flying mount, and then switch to Aldor.

Price is half of for scryers on my server too. Also, doing dailies I seem to end up with about 30 signets a day and quite a few tomes (probably the reason for the low price). I grinded deaths door for 4 hours to get 100 marks and a couple of armaments and spent about 1000g to get exalted for the pendant of might. Worth every gold penny and every minute for the sick proc. Plus I will be able to echant shoulders for a long time.
