Who said real men don't like shopping?!? (S4 happiness, lol)Follow

I was saving up my honor and arena points in anticipation of S4, and I had enough to grab two pieces of S2 Merciless gear to get my 4-piece 15% speed boost bonus. As I stared at the vendor's offering, though, I realized that if I could exercise patience there was a smarter, albeit slower, path for me. In this regard it kinda sucks that they made S3 such a huge leap for us with the new equip bonuses, instead of the typical incremental improvements to the same old stats.

The new Guardian's Dragonhide Belt doesn't require rating, so I grabbed it as a major upgrade from my old Manimal's Cinch, and just then a guildy mentioned that S4 gloves don't require rating, so I spent my arena points to upgrade from my Verdant Gloves to become 20% brutal. That's as brutal as I'll ever get, but it was a fun purchase for somebody who's never had anything better than "Gladiator's." : )

Now I just need to exercise infinite patience as I grind the arena points for my S3 chestpiece which will FINALLY give me my 15% speed boost, and dare to dream that I eke out a 1550 rating at some point in time so I can grab the S4 pants. Aw, who am I kidding...arena ratings are one-way trips for me...S3 pants will do fine, even that will take forever.

Anybody else make any fun purchases today?

I usually PvP for fun and since I'm usually PvE focused I'll just grab the gear that's better than my current gear. Was tempted to get the S4 caster gloves, but decided instead to get the S3 Helm instead. Also picked up the new Caster Belt (no spell crit but was almost double the spell dam) and the S2 healer shoulders. Might pvp a bit more for the 40k pvp trinket and might get the S2 caster Chest to replace the S1.
