By sheer accident, I happened to start a new Human Prot Paladin just before the Midsummer Festival started. I had heard that it was a REAL PAIN to level as a Prot Pally, but as soon as I hit level 12 or so, the festival started. I made it from level 12 to level 19 in about 3 hours of actual play time because I get that cool Bonfire Blessing pretty often. Once in a while, I have even had the blessing last long enough on a single proc to get 3-4 quests done.

Is anyone else taking advantage of this? I would think that the festival is a ridiculously good time to start a new alt! It sure has been fun for me!

It's also good once you get higher to run around and get all the alliance/horde bonfires. I leveled my druid from 57.5 to 59 doing this, without killing one mob, and there is still some bonfires I haven't hit up yet.

I agree. On my level 49 Paladin I get 3250 exp for honoring the flame and 6550 for desecrating the flame of the opposing faction, so it helps a LOT.

I leveled from 48-51 almost 100% with just running the fires and doing the dailies.

Sneaking into Darnassus was fun. xD Now I gotta figure out how to do SW and IF.

SW is a *****, at least it was on my druid who was 58 at the time. Just mount up, see how far you can get, die, and run back. Thing about it is the spirit healer is alll the way on the opposite side of the zone, so it'll probably take you a good while.

In contrast, my 70 paladin ran in, grab the thing and ran to the tram without skipping a beat. (having 15k hp and being unable to be knocked off your mount kinda helps in that regard)
