Hey fellow pallys just thought I would introduce myself on the boards here ...have an alt mage and decided to also roll a pally for my first pvp server experience and really looking forward to it ....
That's cool, what spec do you think you're going to be rollin?
Also, if you haven't checked it out yet, look at the FAQ here on the boards (shameless plug). It will hopefully help you out as you are starting out so that you don't hit some of the pitfalls as you level.

I already have checked out the faqs...its actually what made me go pally ....after evaluating some other classes...I havent made a decision on what to roll yet...only lvl 7 so I have some time...Gonna have to look at some builds some more....but your faqs are great and much appreciated!

Anyway, enjoy being a pally and all our uber skills, auras, blessings and judgements! Not to mention that it sounds like you will get your Warhorse at 30 now! Almost for free, too!
Be sure to visit your trainer at 20, or maybe 22 and do the "Tome" quest chain that leads to Verigan's Fist. The many critters of Azeroth will feel your wrath that day.
And besides, it starts by visiting Daphne Stilwell way out in the east corner of Westfall. Not only is she consistently voted "Eastern Kingdoms Babe of the Year", but her husband steadfastly refuses to come home from Ironforge!
For the Alliance! (ooh, are you horde? Not sure if they get the Fist quest.)

Horde get a similar quest but with a much crappier reward.
