S2 for new raidersFollow

Is it me or is the new pre-raid(even post Kara) list S-2 and anything that can get you to the hit cap?

Should cut down on the questions quite a bit. On another note - do you actually like arena now? I see more and more arena references in your posts these days. How is the time investment?

Honestly it is going to make content alot easier as well. All the stamina on S2 and good stats should make anything but the most challenging heroics a breeze.

The other question - How much time a week for arena?

Lets face it.Pvp gear some times its much better for t4 raids than even t4 gear.
Now you will be able to buy S4 hands with only 1000 ap.That means only 4 weeks and only 1 hour total spent.
Where can you find better gear for kara,ZA and gruul than pvp?especially for axe,hands,!

Indeed but are too dificult to get them.2 low drops and they belong first to melee classes than hunters!
PvP axe is still very easy to get.

Steered the post here by accident, but it is really what I should have asked to begin with and just mentioned S2. The best things for me I think is the axe and shoulders(just can't get decent shoulders really, although BBW coughed up the gun this week :) Anyone want to talk where their badges are going? I was dead set on the bow and almost there, but with WSSR I think the legs of pursuit are pretty damn amazing, just reluctant to throw 100 badges down (I have never used one yet).

You are probably right, I just have wanted this damn gun for so long it seems a shame to bank it after 1 week or so.

I've been playing with Cheeky's spreadsheet after I got over the fear of that huge spreadsheet, but the S2 stuff is very nice indeed.

Are you using Excel or Open Office? If you're using excel, make sure that all macros are fully enabled. The options for in Office 2003 it are somewhere in the settings (probably under "security settings"). I'm using Office 07, and the options are under Excel Settings > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Macro Settings. I really hate how it's set up, but whatever.

But back to the topic at hand :)

I'm actually pretty torn on S2 going to BG honor. On one hand, I finally get an upgrade for my T4 helm, since I hate arenas. Took me 2 months to get the Vengeful Axe- simply because I was never compelled to do arenas, even though my arena partner plays right on the computer next to me.

On the other hand, I think that it's a huge pile of crap that people can start building up honor before they even hit 70 to get gear that's better than what took me months to get AFTER I hit 70.

I guess I should just stop worrying about it, though. I figure that people who are JUST hitting 70 for the first time will want to run Karazhan because of its reputation (not talking about The Violet Eye, btw), and guild probably won't want to take people in full S2 gear that have no experience with raiding. While people who are leveling alts will have an easier way to get them ready for T5 content- rather than running their 2nd, 3rd or even 4th 70 through an instance that they got sick of months ago.

Also make sure you download the correct version. There is both an OO and a microsoft version. Both should work in the default install just make sure that when they ask about enabling macros you click yes.
