Am I Ready For Heroics?Follow

#1 Jun 21 2008 at 7:49 PM Rating: Good
Joined a group for Heroic Slave Pens today (first Heroic on my Druid). They asked me what my +healing was, and I said +1105. They said that was a bit low, and so I went my seperate way. Now I want to know though, am I ready to heal Heroics or not? Or maybe even some Heroics (while not ready for others). I need some new rings/trinkets and a new belt, but that's about it.

My armory: here.

I feel like the only thing that really needs a boost is my health and mana pool. My mana regen really isn't terrible, I have yet to go out of mana in a fight. I have had to use innervate on a boss fight in MgT once, but that's been it.

Also any good Resto Druid guides for 2s PvP. While I know gear is 3/4 the battle for survival, I feel like I'm dying a bit too quickly.

Thanks! Drewd

1100 might be ok for some heroics, but today a new boss was added in Slave Pens, and you are definitely not ready for him.

Depends on the group. How geared is your group? How much cc do you have?

Of course if you have a group of T5+ members you could get away with healing most of the heroics. At +1105 if you have a group of similarly geared members it's going to be extremely tough...even with good cc.

I think you could heal heroic slave pens just fine. Seeing as you're pretty much the same stats as me, I just have a few more things that are epic. Hell I healed heroic ramps, which I think is harder than H Pens, as a balance druid with 1100 healing up until varz/naz when the other balance druid started to help out.

You can easily heal heroics because I do it on a daily basis with the same stats, it may all come down to how efficient you are healing and how you use your spells. Just for the sake of learning I'll assume you don't know much about healing (which I'm sure this isn't true) obviously your basic lifebloom roll. With tree for and you spirit added into it your lifebloom should be between 400-500 with 3 stacks plus tossing a rejuv on people will also add roughly another 800 per tic.

Quick burst healing, Rejuvenation + Swiftmend = 2500 some odd hp. Regrowth + Swiftmend = roughly 5000 some odd hp. If you crit with either of those it's going to be more.

And then if you're really really in a bind and need an amazing burst healing Nature's Swiftness and Healing Touch. Obviously it pulls you out of form but it needs to be done sometimes.

I just think the people you wanted to run with we're kind of being d-bags. You could easily heal that instance and others if you wanted too. My suggestion.... Find a Life Tap addicted lock and run with him a lot because you'll feed him so much mana for so little of your mana he'll always want to take you with.

No, you aren't.

You will be ready to heal heroics when you have a PVE spec and PVE gear. Until then, you are going to give resto druids a bad name.

That spec was while I initally farmed gear, of course I'll pick up a PvE spec when I'm ready to heal 'roics and I have plenty of pieces of PvE epics that aren't equipped right now. You came into an old thread there, bud. I'm not an idiot, I know what I'm doing to some degree. The spec I have now was to heal for regs and farm BGs at the same time while I geared up. Sorry, but I just didn't find your post at all useful. The rest of the posts though, I'm very thankful for your input :). I'll take it all into consideration.

Edit to say I have that Hood of Primal Life, and those BoE epic gloves, a blue ring or two, and some different trinkets for PvE.
