First of all, you guys can check my gears on armory from below signature. So far, I have 70k honors/enough tokens and 3.3k arena points. I currently use S1 swords and was thinking to get S2 maces when new season rolls in. Since I'm ShS build(20/0/41), I believe getting either S2 swords or maces would result in same dps overall, correct me if I'm wrong.
So far I have S3 head and chest piece so I won't upgrade those anytime soon. I have S1 gloves and legging so I thought I would upgrade them to S4 right away. With remaining honor points after getting S2 weapons, I thought I would get the Guardian series of pvp neck, bracer, belt and boots as I've using gears from Kara for above slots so hopefully the boost in resiliences will help me in arena. And of course I'll be enchanting all of the above gears properly with mongoose, AP and etc.
I'm having some second thought about upgrading my shoulder slot. Shoulder I currently have(http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34613) has pretty good AP overall and getting S2 shoulder will lower my overal DPS. Was wondering getting S2 shoulder over what I currently have is a good idea or not.
So would this be pretty good preparation for the upcoming season 4? Any input would be greatly appreciated as I do want to move up in ranking so hopefully I can acquire S3 weapons in the future ^^; I'm not in a raiding guild since I play with my RL friends that only raid we can go to is Kara/ZA so it seems like S4 gears would be serve me better than gears from there. Thanks in advance.

Keep in mind that Resilience effects Cheat Death in 2.4.3, which I'm guessing will either coincide with S4 or be right on it's heels.
With that change, it's a very bad idea not to use S2 shoulders, as they're very close to the Silvermoon Retainer in terms of AP.
As far as gear goes, keep in mind for all S4 outside of Belt, Neck, and Gloves, you need a PR of at least 1550 to buy them, as well as a team rating that high.
Arena gear PRs:
Shoulders: 2200
Weapon: 2050
Head: 1700
Chest: 1600
Legs: 1550
Gloves: none
Honor gear PRs:
Boots: 1700
Ring: 1650
Bracers: 1575
Belt: none
Necklace: none

If you really are all PvP get Sword or Mace MH and Shiv OH. If you do PvE too, go both swords. Teh shiv isn;t that much of a big deal, though it makes your Shiv (the ability) attacks cheaper in energy.

Ok, I'll go ahead and get S2 shoulder then, I might socket the yellow gem slot with AP gem as well.

He has 70k honors as well so he should have S2 gears once S4 starts so we should be doing okay. I think we should have no problem getting 1550 so I can get S4 leg fast enough ^^; Not sure about boots, gotta work hard to get there...
I forgot to mention this on the original post but I was thinking about getting Dragonhide bracer instead of the rogue bracer. Dragonhide bracer has str instead of AP but has slightly more crit & resilience and it has a red gem slot instead of yellow gem slot. Should I just get the Dragonhide bracer or go for the rogue bracer?
