Pvp and groupingFollow

#1 Jun 20 2008 at 5:12 PM Rating: Default
I'm looking to make a new ranged dps as my main (having not liked the warlock or mage) and was wondering how hunters do in pvp. I am also wondering how they do in groups.

Thank you

*Edit* To clarify I mean world pvp and bg's, not arenas.

That kind of depends on yourself. In world PvP your own knowledge of the opponent is King. You should know everything your opponent is capable of and thus what he can't deal with. In BG's however, we are the undisputed Masters of PvP. We basically just stay with the group and tag/kill everything with little or no challenge. Without much PvP gear or PvP skill I can easily top damage and HK. Let's face it, BGs aren't PvP. It's PvP for retards.

In World PvP however we have the range of suck ---->> Epic Win. It all depends on your own knowledge of the Hunter class and the opponent class. Basically, we can counter almost anything unless the opponent class can counter everything we do. This, in my own experience, is rare.

What you, like almost any PvPer needs to realize, is that WoW is actually quite balanced. There's no recipe for winning a fight, and there's no class that is much better than any others. It's all down to you and how much you know about your own class and your opponents. So, find a class that fits your playstyle (which basically means play any class past 40) and go with it. That's all there is to it.

Edit: I'm drunk and slightly soft, so I'm not going to drink your blood. I'm merely going to advice you to do some ******' research of your own instead of expecting some ******' handfeeding you lazy *** cockslapped cumdumpster... Seriously, you are retarded if you expect anything like the post I started with as a result of a post like your own. Consider yourself ******' lucky and go play the lottery, because any other day you'd be laughed at like those sad and pitiful little clowns in the circus. You know what they feel like? They hate themselves and their lives almost more than I now hate you.

#3REDACTED, Posted: Jun 20 2008 at 6:00 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I have done my research. I have looked at every class. I will try to be civil with you so I won't have to share the same level of hell as you. I have looked over the hunter. I know what they are capable of, I know their weaknesses, i've seen the pvp videos. The only way you can really get information on a class is to get it directly from the players. Guides and sources are not always correct. I thank you for your help but I malign you for your brutish behaivior and overall persona of a grade B ***hole.

Welcome to 2004. However, I suggest you heed my advice. If you want advice or more specific information, don't bloody ask such an open ended question. Your question was answered in the bloody class description. What you should ask would be how a Hunter deals with other classes. How to shave performance time off a Hunter's playstyle. How to maximise a Hunter's PvP efficiency or quite simply how a Hunter should play to deal with PvP in general.

Your own question could easily be answered with "Good", "Decent", "We rape anything at ranged", "We suck", "I love wallowing in the blood of my victims" or anything of the sort, depending on the viewpoint of the player responding.

So learn some basic soddin' discussion skills and you'll find the answer improve.

Shocked me too. I had to go make love to a huge stand mirror for half an hour when I first saw it. Wiping of the saliva and other bodily fluids filled me with a delightful mixed feeling of shame and pride. Didn't bother putting my pants on afterwards either since I was confident I'd have to do it again after each new post.

When did this happen? I'm surprised at you being green now. I might start thinking more of you (I already respect you the mostest, so what more can you ask for?)

I have a sneaking suspicion it came about after a heavy cybering session with an undisclosed admin.

I think the "I put on my wizard's robe and hat" line ruined that.

At least I don't have 1K posts yet, so I still have a somewhat decent chance at getting bumped up.

Protip: It doesn't matter one **** what color your name is. It's just +1 E-peen to stroke and I am seriously starting to consider using both hands. Karma is just another tool to have fun with, not any sort of indication towards knowledge or experience. Look at RPZip for instance, the eternal Scholar. He's just failed to provide the funny in more generic forums.
