Trap Mastery and spell hitFollow

Lurking on WOW hunter forums I saw a post about +38 spell hit being equal to the 10% resist buff from 2/2 Trap mastery. Sounds like a winner for BM hunters in heroics and Kara for CC, but I really only trust you guys(and am willing to take some abuse for this info). (Aethien and Mulgrin-I suck less due to your hard work). I have looked around TKA and here and can't find anything on this. Anyone have any good info?
Thanks.

Just to clarify, I am not advocating spell hit for anything but 2 socketed pieces (2 beast lord for me that I don't use anymore) used for trapping only, switch out to proper hunter gear for all other scenarios.

No.

Edit: It wouldn't be worth it even if it did have that effect.

You could try it, but itll cost you a lot of stats doing so.
And so far I have always managed to do thing without it anyway.

Traps really aren't resisted enough to need that. Just make sure that if you're on a really critical pull, you tell your tank to wait for your trap cooldown just in case of a resist.

Edit: And I've always thought of trapping talents as a crutch, anyway.
