Hello lvl 67.75 feral druid here. I need some info about aquiring the flight form at 68. I can't seem to find any information about it, if someone would enlighten me I would be very thankful.

Thanks

you go to your druid trainer pay them 9g and you get flight form.
Not much more to it.
The riding skill comes with learning the new form.

Yep, you just train at the regular trainer for it at 68. You will automatically receive the required riding skill.

You can only use Flight Form in the Outland. You cannot shift into Flight Form while in combat.

Use space (or whatever you have mapped to jump) to go up, and x (or whatever you have mapped to sit) to go down. Otherwise move as you would in any other form.

You can pick herbs etc. in this form. If you get a message that says "You are flying" it's because you aren't low enough. Press x and try again.

Be sure to do /mountspecial a few times to indicate that you just got flight form. :)

Cool, thanks for the help !! I wasn't sure if worked like it did for my 70 hunter when he aquired his flying mounts. Thanks for clearing things up for me.

Now at 70... for the Swift flight form, it's a wee bit harder. You know to sort of make up for the freebie at 68. ^^
You need the usual 5k to be able to start a rather long (but not hard) quest line that ends with going into heroic Sethekk Halls (honored with Lower City).

Fun little flight tidbits.

I'm still a way off this as my druid is only 52, but still. Satisfy my curiosity please ;p

Messing around with the modelviewer I see the druid flight form has a /sit animation. Does this actually work? I've never seen a landed druidbird. And I presume /mountspecial enables you to loop-de-loop, right?

Yes, the sit works. I do it all the time because my future melee DPS, erm, I mean my daughter, thinks it's funny to see mommy's birdie land on a tower and sit on top.

And yes, the mountspecial makes you loop.

You're going to turn your little one into melee DPS? Come on, cake, don't let a great young mind go to waste--DPS is a dime a dozen! My 4-year old son loves running around Shat in different forms so much that I figure with a few macros and some focused training I can let him loose in lowbie zones as my personal little gold farmer. Then as he gets the hang of it, higher level zones and selling runs through DM and Stocks.

Yeah, well, that's the available slot in the family static party.

"Mommy, when are we having dinner?"
"No dinner for you until you learn to sap properly, young lady!"

"Mommy, can I have a new bike?"
"Put 5 stacks of primals in the guild bank, and we'll talk."

When I first got bird form the sit animation amused me greatly (it still does)> I would often perch somewhere and then challenge my leveling buddy to find me. Unfortunately, he knows me too well and immediately flies to the nearest tall structure :p

I put great effort into finding tiny little projections and figuring out how to perch on them without sliding off. Often I do shift out and slide off but that's almost more fun since flight form is instant cast XD Then I challenge other classes with regular flight mounts to do the same <.<

I like to play chicken with the ground. See how high I can go up and then shift out and fall and shift back at the last minute. Good fun.

I do this, but I have to remember to check my latency at the time - the game is a lot more challenging at bad times when my latency gets up to 1000 ms !

Yep.

You can can also fly inverted on any flying mount. Simply auto run/fly while on a flying mount, then hold in your [Insert] key. Once you achieve a "Maverick" style inverted vector let go of the [Insert] key and try to get snap shots over an enemy Player.

"Say Cheese!"

Queue up your "Danger Zone" playlist and enjoy.
