Hi all,

I've been having some addon troubles ever since i revamped my UI a couple days ago. First, I can't seem to get rid of the blizzard target frame. I have pitbull, which should allow me to disable it, and I've tried to get rid of every addon that could keep it there over Pitbull, but it hasn't worked. Second, my pitbull target frame has problems working. Only some of the time does it actually show up when I have players targeted, and never when i'm targeting an NPC. I've looked through the pitbull settings for target frame and have had no luck. Third, I can't find any good buff/debuff mod. I've tried Elkano's, but that didn't work, and I've used CT buffmod before and tried to use it again but it won't show up under my list of CT addons when I hit /ct. Fourth, there is an addon that I can't recognize or find that is showing my cooldowns (very useful) but it is unconfigureable as far as I can tell and sometimes the cooldowns will stack ontop of eachother, making it entirely pointless. Fifth, I can't get the HP deficit numbers to disappear off my Pitbull frames (I've looked in the settings). Sixth and lastly, I am unable to change the alpha for DBM. I've tried all the different tabs with their alpha sliders, set them all to the lowest percentage, and the timers just sit there ontop of this other cooldown addon, unmoveable and taking up most of my screen.

Here are three screenshots- I've outlined the different problems with colors.
Purple - Blizzard Target Frame
Blue - Pitbull Target Frame
Red - Cooldown mod
Yellow - HP Deficits
Green - DBM

Hm, how recently did you update your UI? if you got addons that were pre 2.4.2, that might be your problem. Even though it wont say your addons are out of date, they still wont be compatible and will push out errors. My guildies and I had lots of problems with my UI after 2.4.2, and when I updated them everything went away.

First I would try resetting your WTF and Cache folders, some addons dont carry the same info from patch to patch and confuses your old settings.

It may sound harsh, but when all else fails I would suggest updating all your addons and making sure that the revision numbers are higher than that of your current ones.

Do you need a HuD and Pitbull? Me thinks not.

Damn kids these days. In my day we used default UI and one castbar mod and we liked it.

Thanks for your input everybody. PsiChi, that is exactly what I thought earlier so I got rid of the HUD thinking it might get rid of that darned target frame, but it didn't. Now i have plenty more space on my screen though... Yum.

I got these addons post-2.4.2, from the Ace2 library, but I will reupdate them anyways, it's a pretty quick process to transfer them from Mac to PC for ace updater and then back.

Ok, so here's an update. The target frame is still there, but I fixed the cooldown problem, the HP deficit problem, and I have found out that the DBM timers are not moveable so I disabled them. I am looking into the Pitbull target frame options right now.

It looks like you have some addon that changes the target frame of the default Blizz UI. Try disabling anything that would change that frame.

Why not just use MacAceUpdater? I have it on my G4 and it works fine.

Thanks Atrophy, I found that when I transferred earlier. :)

Theo, I tried doing that but it didn't help. I got rid of a bunch of things that affect the blizzard frame, but nothing worked. I'm going to try X-Perl, see if that will help disable it, and if not i'll just use an augmented version of the original Blizzard target frame and use pitbull for everything else.

Edit: On second thought, i'll download MoveAnything or something like that and just hide the frame above my Titan Panel. Hidden is as good as disabled for me.

Thanks for everybody's help, I've solved just about all my problems now. Rate-ups all around.
