So here is teh macro!
after 5 scorches on a boss i use this
/use icon of the silver crescent
/cast Combustion
/cast icy veins
/cast fireball.
This helped my dps because i dont waste all that time by clicking on all these things separate.
Hope this helps!

Now once you figure out how to hide the error message from a cooldown not being ready, try again.

I'll tell you a secret, the raiding mages in this forum might be nice and tell you.

If you ask nicely that is, most of us have had if for months.

Rate up for trying to be helpful, even if it's a few months behind the curve.

I can't remember the command to remove the error message without logging in and I'm at work, but I can tell you that replacing
Quote:
/use icon of the silver crescent
with

Quote:
/use 13
/use 14

will make for a much more versatile macro that can adapt to any trinket(s) you happen to have equipped.

You should still have a separate fireball button available. Sometimes it is in you best interest to stall burning your cooldowns to maximize their use during Molten Fury. But agreed that macros are always better then clicking 4 different items.

exactly what I do. I have a button on my g15 that casts all the things, and the button above is spams /cast fireball.

# showtooltip Fireball
/script UIErrorsFrame:Hide()
/use 13
/use Mana Emerald
/cast Combustion
/cast Icy Veins
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear(); UIErrorsFrame:Show()
/cast Fireball

cut and paste this into macros and the use 13 activates your first trinket slot also. This setup is to pop both trinkets (I use hex shrunken head in first slot and serpent coil braid in second (which is activated by using a mana gem), and using the hex head first lets you stack the +dmg from both) this procs me up to somewhere around +1900 dmg in raid. without serpent coil braid you could easily replace mana gem line with flame cap.
And I also keep this macro separate and make sure abilities up at 20 percent, most fights can get 2 of this macro in.

Btw anobix how is illidan going, to be honest after first kill its so cake after that, we have two shotted him both of the last two weeks since our first kill. Both weeks we cleared hyjal and first 3 in bt on tuesday, rest of bt to illidan on wednesday and tried illidan end of wednesday night one time each week. Then Thursday both weeks went in and oneshotted before heading to sunwell to start on Kalecgos.
(Spent one real night on Kalecgos, 42demon/45dragon our best attempt so far)

Illidan is a tad rough for us right now. (I raid with Anobix if you didn't know). Had some attendance issues, got those fixed, then had some tank issues.

Hopefully next week we get it all sorted out and kill the *******. As of right now though, Phase two is raping us.

If you dont mind my asking what about phase 2 is the problem.

The reason I ask is a lot of the strats are wrong and it caused us no end of problems on the first night.

I did some research , found the correct information, and we have absolutely no problems in phase 2 now.

The wrong info on bosskillers and some other sites is the proximity of the 2 elementals, they show that you have to be within so many yards of each other when kiting, and that information forces you to be up by the raid and kite back and forth through the blazes, when the actual range is 25 yards of the glaive for the aura, and it doesnt matter how far apart the elementals are as long as each tank as well as the raid is within 25 yards of one of the glaives. This allows a shorter north south kite while allowing the fire tanks to move farther out from raid. This lets them move up one side on top tier of circle then back down on the second tier of circle, avoiding old blazes, and also being on second tier of circle it is very easy to avoid eye beams. Hope this helps, we one shotted phase 2 after changing kite paths in this way.

Our tanks learning to dodge flames is our issue.

As filter noted, we are having a ton of problems in phase 2 because 1 of 2 things keeps happening: Tanks get hit by eye beam, or they don't get healed enough (or maybe go through too many green blazes). I did not know that about the distances, that will allow us to change our kiting strategy entirely.

Question though:

I know that going 25yd away from a glaive causes an enrage. I thought getting too far away from the other elemental caused a charge?

Nope thats what we thought too but the charge is also caused by being over 25 yards froma glaive. The glaives pulse a debuff that you get if within 25 yards. It is definate the 2 elemenats do not need to be in 40 yard range of each other, just everyone within 25 yards of one of the two glaives. The only time you may get a weird charge is if someone takes a res or a totem or pet is spawned that the elemental check ticks before the buff ticks to debuff them. That is the reason for an occasional charge on a totem or pet.
Other than that, tanks can go 25 yards from their glaive it is just about the edge of the outer rim of the circle, any more out than that will put them out of the glaive buff.

Edited to add this, one of our fire tanks made vid of our first kill, and if you want to see his kite paths http://www.randomnewclan.com/videos/illidan-first-kill.wmv
