Maybe Resilience will be more important now for Cheat Death Rogues?

Quote:
Rogue

Cheat Death: This talent has been rebalanced significantly. Killing blows are no longer 100% absorbed. If the Rogue is below 10% health, the killing blow is still completely absorbed; if the Rogue is over 10% health, enough damage will be absorbed to reduce the Rogue’s health down to 10%. For the following 3 seconds, damage is not always reduced by 90%; it is now reduced by a maximum of 90%, depending on how much resilience the Rogue has. The damage reduction will be four times the damage reduction resilience causes against critical strikes.

Thoughts? Usually all I need is that split second when CD procs to get out of combat anyway, so I think this won't hurt us that much, but Idunno.

I think it's just an attempt to make those Rogues wearing a bunch of T6 epics to actually wear PvP gear.

I remember there being a lot of complaints about the PvE geared Rogues on Arena Tournament servers.

It doesn't seem to make much sense, really. If you've gotten a heal within the three seconds after Cheat Death activates that puts you over 10%, chances are you aren't going to plunge straight down to 10% again unless your healer is using Rank 2 spells.

However, much like the rating requirement malarkey, Blizzard is definitely trying to separate the men from the boys in PvP gearing. Not that I have anything against it, really, but it is slightly annoying that yet another Subtlety talent is going to be nerfed, only this time it's directed at the casual PvPer instead of everybody.

At least they didn't decide to fUck with Hemorrhage again.

Yeah, I'm gonna be "that guy" who points out that most Rogues use PvP weapons in PvE...
(I'm not saying they didn't need to balance things, but they did a lousy job, I have nothing over T4 and this hurts me too).

This also annoys me because I usually do Daily quests, etc, in ShS spec, and while I don't rely on Cheat Death, it was nice to have it work in my PvE gear -_-

This is outright silly. Cheating Death is available in the upper 40s where resilience is not even a factor. While this could affect people in the level 70 bracket, it injures people in the 49.59.and 69 brackets respectively.

Personally this gung-ho nerf bat frenzy Blizzard has been swinging for the last year needs to be halted. Everytime someone cries....Blizzard caters to the whiners. How much longer before they completely remove Restoration from the Druid Tree because "they're too OP in Arena"?

Blizzard balances around level caps.

Stop whining.

Apparently in this case around PVP level caps. This is a pretty large nerf to people doing pve in pve gear.

Didn't you hear? They're buffing Druids and Warlocks in this patch >_>
(Tree of Life lowering spell costs, Curse of Shadows and Curse of Elements becoming one Curse)

I really hope you meant pvp in pve gear. And my response would be: Yes? In other news gravity pulls you down.

I don't really see the nerf for pve.

WOW, WHO WILL BE SAFE FROM THESE MACHINES OF DESTRUCTION NOW THAT THEY HAVEBEEN BUFFED IN A WAY THAT DOESS NOT REALLY EFFECT PVP AT ALL AND IS SO MINOR IN ANY CASE THAT NO SANE MAN WOULD CARE. ALSO, IN PVE, THE WARLOCK CHANGE HELPS MAGES MORE THAN WARLOCKS.

|IN ADDITION, OUR CLASS IS FAR MORE RIDICULOUS IN PVP RIGHT NOW THAN WARLOCKS.

We could have been hit a lot worse than this adjustment. It might bug some people in the lower levels, but overall it's still a great PvP asset.
