omg this is actually amazing, just try it and u can use your own variations but hemo, dirty deeds and preparation are great and then the assasination tree is just designed for killing stuff quickly. Worked great in 2v2 but not great for 5v5 i must say, when u get focused on it aint as durable as a deep subt/combat build but when u get the opener its great + when u proc evasion and/or claok of shadows u get some combo points for doing nothing. All in all i think u will like and in BG's u may find yourslef so confident to take on a full gladiator fury warrior......maybe :p

ok well i will take all positive adivice but here is my explanation on why i chose each talent starting with the assasination tree:

Remorseless Attacks- Great in arena, you finish killing someone run over to the next person and BAM big old crit to start off the fight awards 2 combo points also dues to seal fate.

Malice- Perfectly logical 5% crit very nice
Ruthlessness- Great for racking up combo points no a sure thing but 60% chance is nice, helps keep the stuns going
Murder- Yes other players are humanoids......i believe.....i hope
Relentless Strikes- Best talent imo, free 5/5 kidney shot and your away with a quick hemo after the kidney shot
Lethality- Big crits means quicker kills in pvp most dmg should be yellow special attack dmg and this helps
Imp. Poisons- Keeping wound poison on, which is what i use main hand, is great as it can be removed by druids so helps keep them dispelling
Fleet Footed- Catch me if can :) and when u resist that movement imparing effect its priceless, stacks with surefooted which resist roots
Cold Blood- 5/5 kidney shot then rack up another 5 combo points pop cold blood 5/5 eviscerate and done next person plz
Imp. Kidney shot- In arena not 2v2 but maybe 5v5 a person will go down fast with them taking 9% extra damage but also helps the 1on1 kills
Quick Recovery- Now that missing with cold blood on doesn't remove cold blood this is doubley great, miss keep your energy and keep cold blood
Seal Fate- Essential for quick combo points
Vigor- This and arena set bonus is 120 energy so thats cheap shot, hemo and then another hemo so that can be 5 combo points instantly a lot of the time
Find Weakness- 4% extra after a kidney shot which is 9% so 13% extra damage this can be insanely helpful

Subt Tree Talents

Master of D- Helps get you the opener against other rogues and agaist hunters/locks who will send their pet on you if they see you
Sleight Of Hand- Free resilience, this could be the talent you don't like
Dirty Tricks- Sap from far away which is helpful and you keep more energy after a sap.
Camoflauge- Worst talent i have i think, but speed in stealth can help u get to ure healer getting ganked quicker or wateva u want
Initiative- Amazing Amazing Amazing cheapshot 3 combo points 3 out of 4 times yes please
Setup- Gives you combo points when using evasion and/or CoS
Serrated Blade-Leads to hemo and gives armor reduction
Hemo- The combat point builder and majority of dps
Dirty Deeds- Reduce energy of a cheapshot and after stunlocking a player you get 13% extra from the assasin talents and now +20% so 33% not sure if thats how they stack but if they do thats 33% extra damage with your hemo against a player below 35% Hp
Preparation- 2 Cold Bloods, Blinds, Sprints, Vanish i try use all my cooldowns before using this but i must i pop it early to make sure my team gets that first kill

Most people who find they have found the ultimate spec that isn't the standard are gonna get laughed at. This is because the standard specs have been proven to work the best over and over and over again. Plus he forums see the same "rate my spec" questions constantly. People get tired of that as well.

You can discuss indiviual choices in the cookie cutter specs and get some honest opinions because most specs do allow for a few point to put in for preference.

My suggestion to you is read the stickies, read Theo's PvP FAQ, check out Elitistjerks.com (therycrafters galore). Then if you don't get why you puts points somewhere, then come back and ask.

It's ok to play around with oddball specs for fun, but don't tout them as perfect, cause they're not.

P.S. and don't mind Theo too much, he reserves the right to call us all idiots, but he does know his stuff along with several other posters in here.

Seriously, the build is so bad that I could give 10 reasons why it is bad, but I don't have time/courage to do so. I'll just give you the build killer:

1) check what's your main attack: Hemo

2) check what the Sinister Calling (deep in the Sub tree) does: it boosts your main attack (Hemo). Plus it gives you access to Shadow Step which gives you the mobility that all rogues dream about.

The only reason to have points in Sub and NOT take Sinister Calling and ShS is if you go for another 41-point talen such as Muti (main alternative to ShS in pvp)... which you don't!

=====> FAIL (it's that simple).

Read the FAQ, stick to the cookie-cutter builds (until you're knowledgeable enough to design your own builds... maybe).

ok but why?

Seems to me to lack the power of a good Assassination build AND the survivability of the Sub tree. I've actually tried to work a heavy Assassination + Hemo build for PvE with some BGs on the side, but really found it lacking compared to just about any other spec that I've tried (but the Hemo debuff was kinda nice for raiding).

Side question: I've never found Remorseless Attacks useful. Anyone know of a build where it would actually be useful?

Only time I've ever had Remorseless in my build is while leveling and doing bg's before 70.

Got bored went and bought some decent daggers grabbed improved ambush and basically deep sub, grabbed remorseless just to see and it was kinda fun with the 40% to crit with ambush, and the high crit % I had at the time. I would ShS --> Ambush --> Hemo a couple of times --> Vanish --> ShS --> Ambush another target. The added crit chance was kinda nice and I did some serious damage to clothies in bg's, especially the healers in the back without protection.

Kinda fun when you have 2 ShS rogues bouncing around behind the ally lines dropping healers and causing general confusion as their melee's start dieing because the healers are trying to stay alive.

If Theo is a kid...then he is a smart *** kid. Nobody(that I have seen) contributes more knowledge to the rogue forums than him.

I believe the reason he attacked you for this statement, is because from my knowledge there isn't a talent point that you spend that is not able to be used on a player. The only spell I can think of off the top of my head(other than pally undead spells) is Curse of Doom. I think he just gets upset when he spends hours of his time making posts and people come in and post stuff without reading them all. This is a game and you can player however you wish though.

i lol'd when i saw this.

ok the only time you take this in arena is if your doing mut for 5s or low bracket arena, or if your doing a cb + prep burst build.

the only REASON you take this talent, its not for the energy lost part, its for the +20% heals received part.

ALSO, if your missing your special attacks you arent at the hit cap for special attacks which pretty much means your retarded.
