Talent Confusion help PlsFollow

#1 Jun 16 2008 at 12:23 PM Rating: Decent
Hi! I have read over the rogue guide and have looked over the build guides by Demea and am still a little confused as to how I should spend my talent points to best fit my needs. Pls don't flame and some advice would really be appreciated. I mainly solo and pvp. I also quest with a friend and do some instances and raids with him. I need to deal out damage to take out ppl fast. Also, I was doing some Pvp and got utterly destroyed by another rogue and I honestly don't know how he hit me so fast. I was literally dead in under 3 sec. So my main concern is being able to deal out damage so my friend and I are affective together, and I would like to Pvp too. I was thinking about following the Pvp swords layout http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=whxboZGcV0rVzxMhRtxM but I am not really sure if that is exactly what i am looking for. Help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, also I am a level 40 rogue so I am looking to be making my final build but I can also redo talents as I go. Thanks for the help

I'm assuming that when you say PvP you mean battlegrounds and not world PvP. There are no builds that are perfect for both PvE and PvP. Generally people will suggest straight combat swords or a mutilate build. Both of which are decent at both (instancing and BGs). Combat is built around sustained DPS (better for PvE), Mutilate more of a burst build (better for BGs).

For some dedicated PvP builds check out Theo's PvP guide.

As for your build, move the two points from Nerves to Vitality. I've never noticed any major problems not having MoD in my combat builds when in BGs, but that's really up to you I guess. If you position yourself properly you shouldn't "need" it. You might also move Imp. Evis points to Ruthlessness.

Happy hunting.
