I logged out in my PvP gear, so no point in linking to my armory, but while tanking SLabs last night I found that mobs kept dodging or I kept missing. This became a bit of a pain -- the opening maul/mangle wouldn't land and then I'd have to growl promiscuously to keep aggro. It was a good group -- everyone could take care of themselves -- so it was more of an irritation than a fatal flaw.

I'm slowly building my tank set and I have basically no +hit or expertise items in it (and little in my dps set). How important are those stats for a tank? Is it worth investing a bit in them after I get my dodge up to 25% and my health above 13k? I see that earthwarden comes with some expertise, but I'm about 8 SV runs away from that....

I'd say get the 8 runs in, for me holding aggro got much easier after getting the Earthwarder. I did not add any hit to my tank gear altho Agi helps. Also once you pass the 25% dodge, it gets harder to build rage in normal instances. So keep that in mind when building your tanking set, unless you have basicly 3 sets of gear, one for normal instances, one for raids and heroics, and one for cat. (not saying you need 3 total sets, but will need to mix and match.)

yeah, its pretty sad, but druids have a bit of the "over-geared for tanking this instance" problem that warriors get too. once your armor and dodge levels get high enough, you dont build rage for ****. you actively have to downgrade your gear (not necessarily making a new set, but maybe leaving out a few pieces of your tanking set) in order to hold aggro in instances below your gear level.

ROFL. Why must you put such disturbingly erotic images in my head!

Yes, I know the word was technically used correctly in the sentence, but it still makes me giggle.
