Try Blade's Edge then. And as for instances, there's the three Coilfangs, Mana tombs, Blood Furnace and others.

You are entitled to use any weapon you like. Hell I personally don't care if you throw happy fun rocks at the mobs. Your level of success only affects you. But it would be wise to learn/train bows, AND crossbows, AND guns. You never know what you will come across. It seems foolish to dismiss an excellent quest gun simply because it isn't a bow. Even if you have 0 skill in the weapon it won't take too long to skill it up considering the rate of fire and the presence of a friendly pet tank.

Having said that...There are some very good Hunter drops in the instances mentioned. The last boss in Steam Vaults, which you said has no "good" hunter gear, drops two pieces of the Beast Lord set. Mana tombs drops some good boots and a ring. The stuff is there...look harder

How much does it really matter? Of course its nice to get some gear while leveling, but how long will you keep it? How soon before something better drops to take its place? How fast can you farm the honor to get some S2 stuff that's better than alot of the quest rewards and dungeon drops from any 5 man instance once you do hit 70?

The ring of blood in Nagrand has a couple good quest rewards for you. There's even the AV quest you could do to get the iced barb spear (can't seem to get it to link right). Not that great, but not that bad either, especially in the early 60's.

It's this guys firm opinion that unless your trying to twink, gear while leveling takes a back burner. Good stuff will come eventually, and better stuff will come soon after. Learning to kill things or complete quests with poor gear can actually help you later on by making you learn the tricks of your class and playing smart.

Not to mention that there is more than enough good gear for hunters in instances between lvl ~60 and ~68.
A complete, matching set even ;)

use Kaliban's Loot List. This site at least lists some good gear to keep an eye out for while you are heading to 70.

Is this a new ranged weapon that will be available in the next expansion? Sorry couldn't resist. I do agree with paladense, you should be fairly even in all your ranged weapon skills. Especially if you plan on ever doing any raiding, you really need to have all your skills fairly close to maxed; and yes that might mean using a gun even though some hunters like to play "the true hunter style" and only stay with bows or the occasional crossbow because they feel that makes the game more "life like."

Plus I found plenty of gear during my somewhat tedious drive toward the coveted lvl 70. And even though some people may flame me for saying this, take some leather pieces if they are better than the mail you are currently wearing, as many people have said before, the number of times you'll replace each piece of gear is pretty quick while you're getting to 70, and even once at 70 you'll still do a few gear switches before you hit that perfect combo.

I really wouldn't stress that much over getting the best gear you can get at level 64. The rate at which you change gear in the Outlands made my head spin.

One example I can think of is in Kara, The Wolf Slayer Sniper Rifle from Opera event is a good gun, but then the bow from Price (can't remember the name) is an upgrade. Passing up the gun to use a less effective bow doesn't make much sense. Especially since in raiding when it can take a while to finally get that upgrade you have been waiting for. (c'mon Prince drop it already!)

Most likely not.
Most raiding hunters are BM, and for BM WSSR is much better than sunfury.
