So i have been twinking out my 29 rogue and I usually do pretty well but I always have the same problem Hunters. ANytime there is a large fight in the middle of the map I get destroyed 5 sec after unstealthing and in 1on1 they wing clip then concussion shot me and i cant touch them. Is there a way to stop this from happening?

Don't just dash out and pounce the 1st thing you see, look for the ranged classes and gank them from behind. Let the warriors and shamans go rush out and draw attention 1st. You're not a tank, even in PvP.

I have trouble with hunters on my 29 twink also. Digital gave the best advice, just check your surroundings and use a mental "kill order" list. At the top of that list should be healers and ranged classes.

Hunters completely rule my battlegroup and it sucks sometimes, but I get by and cause some mayhem when I can :P

Watch out for pets (hunters and warlocks). You don't care about their pets so don't attack them, but it sucks cause they can do alot of damage to you while you go after their owners.

I have ADHD so I always know my surroundings even in WoW. Try to keep mental notes like it was mentioned before. Click on the ground and rotate the mouse to that you get a good 360 degree look around you. And don't be afraid to use vanish because it debuffs all of your movement imparing effects on you. If you are in the thick of combat after vanish and you have some pestering warlock dot spells on you, Sprint to your target and do the best you can to take him down. I wouldn't use potions though because those don't cost 21 copper like flash powder.

Just to throw this out here: 21 copper spent on flash powder is better than 21 silver spend in repairs when you do PvE.

As Digital said, pick your targets wisely. You should have crippling poison(can't remember exactly what level you get it). If so, use it. Hunters are crap if they can't use their bow. At your level you don't have to worry about the most BS part of BM hunters. I personally don't have problems with Marks hunters. Make sure you use the right poisons. At level 70 I used Wound Poison on my MH and crippling on my OH. Now, I do have shiv and I make sure crippling is applied immediately, but if you have a quick OH than you should be applying it pretty quick. I personally open with CS and then make sure I get a good KS on them so they are that much more movement impaired. Make sure you watch out for flares. Sometimes they get lucky and throw them right on you. If so, I hope sprint is up so you can catch up to them. Everyone has their own tactics to fight each class. Try checking forums out and seeing how others fight hunters. Try wowwiki. You might be able to find a "Nerf Rogue" QQ session in the hunters forums, and see if they discuss how they take out rogues. Take that info and see if you can find ways to counter different attacks. As, for the twink questions. I personally think twinks are dumb, and are played by people who are sub-par pvpers at the level cap. The only way I would ever twink a character is if I had every class at level 70 and had them fully geared(I only pvp so T6 is worthless to me). I guess its a good to have fun. Anyways, good luck with them hunters. They only get harder as you level.

My brain hurts. I couldn't click the downrate button hard enough. You just disqualified your own argument by saying they do alot of damage, but to ignore them.

Guess what - you've got blind! And gouge! There are plenty of ways to mitigate damage against a hunter.

1. Sap him, kill pet. Stay in melee range and laugh.
2. Blind him, kill pet. Laugh.
3. Evasion if you are lazy.
4. Why am I wasting time on this post?

You are talking about 29 twinks so i will answer that question. At 70 its a different ball game and hunters will never be able to get away from you with crip 70 poision and shad step ect.

At 29, double crippling poison i used when i was a twink. Since we dont have luxuries of Shd step or even kidney shot, its crucial that they are slowed. As far as hunters go, if they get the jump on you, watch out for a slowing trap and concussion shot is only like 4 seconds. watch it go away and sprint after them and get a crip on em. If you cant survive that 4 seconds, pop vanish and sprint and just get to them and stay in their face.

If you have no cooldowns and dont get the opening cheapshot or ambush, your pretty much a goner. Hunters are damn good at 29 twinks because that pet does more damage and fewer ways to get away from it at 70.
