New Warrior Tips (Lvl 18)Follow

#1 Jun 13 2008 at 4:46 PM Rating: Default
Okay, I am currently a level 18 draenei warrior on Ysera realm and am looking for some tips on builds, equipment etc. I am currently questing in Bloodmyst Isle and am having success and have only died twice in 7 levels here while using the guides on wow-pro.

So I am going to go with a DW fury build which I have heard is best. Anyway, I am wondering what professions would be good, some notable equipment to buy on the AH, and if I should choose a different race because I am not worried about sending all my cash/equipment to a new race if it is noticeably better end-game.

don't make the blacksmithing mistake that many warriors do (including me). if you just want cash, go mining/skinning. if you want to level a useful profession, go mining/engineering. mining/jewelcrafting is another reasonable choice, and i think you get a racial bonus for that one.

race makes too little difference to notice in the end; if you like goats, be a goat and be proud.

Professions - if this is your first toon, then get 2 gathering professions. Mining/Skinning or Herbalism/Skinning. Sell everything you get from Mining/Herb/or Skinning on the AH (do NOT sell it to NPC vendors). This is how you'll make money.

Remember - you'll need about ~80-100g for your mount at lvl 40.

As for race - it doesn't matter. Make whatever you want. I made a Draenei warrior because it's nice to have a heal.

Should I ditch enchanting then for skinning as I already have mining?

If this is your first toon, then I would venture to say you may want to try something other than enchanting. Enchanting can make you more money than any other profession, but you really have to know what you're doing. If not, it will just be a money sink. On your first toon, you are usually just learning the game, so getting skinning/herb/mining is much much easier.

If this is an alt, then definitely keep enchanting and learn to make money from it.

Just my opinion.
