Well in the spirit of this whole new wiki system going on here, I thought I would update my user Wiki to include my gaming history and my forum history. If you'd like you can read it here. I kinda wrote it like an Autobiography. I was just curious if you guys did anything like that, because I think it would be kind of interesting to see everyone's background. It doesn't have to be as long as mine, but just something so we can kinda get to know each other better.

I dunno, might be dumb, just a suggestion.

True, he just uses the paladin boards.

And, to the point of the topic, I'd rather read a person's posts to learn about them rather than have someone ********** on a wiki page and try to spew their self-important **** all over my brain.

You're much, much more of a twunt than I ever thought you were, Cap. The self-wiki and subsequent advertisement may have been a bad call.

edit: The upside is that anyone can edit a wiki page...

edit2: And and bodhi does have a page... but that was courtesy of Nexa[/i]

The fact that this thread quickly turned to me as the main topic only proves that my long hours of typing trying to indoctrinate the almost incomprehensible level of awesomess that I exude like a pungent musk every time I log onto World of Warcraft is paying off, despite the obvious handicaps of the audience to which I try to expound my message. My each and every post is a pearl bursting forth and caking itself on your feeble intellect, encircling it like a necklace, a pearl necklace.

Cry `not in my hair`all you will Celcio, we all know the deal.

See I was trying to figure out a way to not make it sound egotistical. I just thought it would be kinda nice and I was just showing an example. Plus I kinda discovered the user wikis and wikying in general here on the forums and I was bored at work. Didn't mean for it to come off vain, but whatever. I said it might be dumb, guess I was right.

I don't think it comes off as vain. It's nice to learn a bit more about the people on the other side of the monitor.

I agree with HolyTeardrop... Some people have been on this forum FOREVER and pretty much know each other, and some of us have been playing the game for only a short time and only started using these forums. I like the idea of a personal wiki, especially if it alleviates the boredom at work!

Go CapJack!

I may even write one myself sometime... I get bored at work easily (hence the reason I have like 10 posts today... lol)

Nothing wrong with personal wikis. Hell, half the OOT has one.

Ok I started WoW as a Mage and have had great fun with it. I thought that it would have more substance than any tanking class or melee class. I was wrong thanks to the helpful info from capn jack! I am having the greatest time with the pally and I totally take back my words on tankers having no subtstance to them. I always go back to capn's words of wisdom on the forums and I share the cap's struggle in making time for WoW seeing as how I am a new father, student, fiance AND employed. Anyway sry just had to throw my two cents in! Capn jack keep the advice coming bro!

-Altaair (BE pally on Elune server)

p.s. Cant wait to start sponging up some dmg on raids!!! Well....I cant wait to do my first raid!

In the spirit of Airplane...no, I haven't been to see Billy. Where is he?

I can't help but point out that the second quote contains a misspelling.

Should be: "Have you ever been to sea, Billy?"

see =/= sea

Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
