Green Silken Shoulders +11 int unbuffed i get 986 health 2883 mana , bonus damage frost is 35 others are 16 and crit 5.27 or
Azure Shoulders +5 stamina unbuffed i get 1035 health 2718 mana , bonus damage frost 48 others 16 and 4.97 crit ??..

I can understand the differences i guess , but still not sure which will be better for me as a level 35 frost Mage.

I Rarely suffer much serious damage anyway but there are some serious damage changes from what i can see with these two items .

Which would you guys?girls chose ?? and why ??

Spell Damage is king while leveling! A consistent increase in killing power. You can't go wrong. Load up on spell damage!!! Kill mobs faster.

If you run low on mana - that is what a mana gem is for. Plus, you should get the Mage orb that gives you even more mana regen.

That is just my opinion.

Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and randomly pick one.

In a few levels you'll replace it anyways.

Thanks for the answers but. ?

It was the less crit i noticed , more spell power i can see is more damage but less crit means less chance to get that crit bonus damage , i know its going to change in a few levels anyway as i get better gear but unless i read it wrong crit gives me roughly double damage when it happens .

But i guess hoping for that extra crit damage is not as good as real and steady damage ...

Yeah go for the reliable damage. +damage you benefit from every attack, where as crit is just hoping to get lucky. Besides +damage will make your crits hit harder, even if they are slightly less often. Emphasis on slightly.

At lvl 35, you are, I assume, leveling to 70.

Pick the items that give you spell damage and INT. Damage will kill faster, INT will let you kill longer (without drinking). You will later want more +Crit, but as the items you have will be replaced regularly, right now, you just want 'staying power' - Damage and INT is staying power.

As a frost mage, you should rely on Shatter, Frostbite and Frost Nova for your crits. Don't worry too much about your crit rating at this time. And don't sacrifice too much stamina, especially if you're on a PvP server.

When I leveled my mages, I always went with of the eagle type gear.
