I start with Prowl>Pounce:FF:Shred(x2, if you have Shredding attacks, from talents): Mangle, Rip, and then Mangle-spamming, combining with rip/maim. If it is a caster, or high-HP creature, I use Maim, for different reasons.

If you have to fight elites, start HoTs on yourself, then teddy bear form, and enjoy.

EDIT: grammar issue.

Prowl-Pounce-Mangle-Shred-FFF-Mangle to full combo points-Rip. Rinse, repeat. If you can get the FFF in before that, by all means, I just don't have quick fingers. Just make sure you Mangle before Shred.

At 58, assuming you're in Hellfire, you'll also get a lot of adds (damn boars). I just change to bear as soon as I have more than 2 on me, throwing on a Rejuv during the switch. Then it's pretty much Mangle-Swipe your little heart out, Barkskin-Regrowth-Rejuv as needed.

P.S. Am I the only one who has trouble remembering the names of stuff when these questions come up? My first thought is always "A-S-D-Z-S-S-X. If you have trouble, Button 5-Middle Click-Right Click-apostrophe".

Really? It never seemed worthwhile to me to wait til full combo points to Rip. Always seemed like the mob was dead about the time I built to 5 points.

I typically went
1. Pounce
2. Mangle
3. Rake
4. Rip
5. Mangles til dead

I was pretty sure that this felt better than most other starters I tried, although I never crunched out whether Shred use would be wise. Bigger numbers certainly, but more damage-per-energy? I'm not sure.

Granted, when I was 58 my druid was:
1. Goldless (transferred 2 other chars off of that server and took all his money when they left)
2. Resto, and
3. had crappy gear

...so at first mobs were living long enough for a 5-point Rip to be owrth it.

You're right. Let me qualify that with an "unless you don't need it." I really cannot tolerate leaving combo points sitting on a mob. I get so mad if they die before I can Rip. It's just annoying.

Pounce -> Mangle -> Shred -> Maim -> Shred.

If anything survives that, I'm the tank and shouldn't be in Cat form. Smiley: tongue
