Ghost Cat worth the hype!Follow

#1 Jun 12 2008 at 8:24 AM Rating: Default
Well yesterday I was out in darkshore hunting ghost cat. Forgot to stable my pet the first time. But on the way back to stable my pet I came across a cat figurine. I said wth and clicked it. Out pops ghost cat. So I kill it and only get a figurine statue. Knowing that if my pet was stabled I could have tamed it.

My question. Is it worth it. People say that its hard to keep happy and that it is buggy. Like it'll just drop dead. Just wanted everyones take on it since it'll probably take me hours to spawn him again if its worth it.

The Ghost Saber is like every other cat in the game, from the standpoint of its mechanics and how it works

I haven't heard of any people having ongoing problems with this beast. The dying thing seems to be a one-time deal (unless you fail to feed the pet and it goes that way too). So, if you really like its appearance then grab it. Shouldn't be a problem.

Don't expect it to be more than just any cat at its level in terms of abilities. It's all a looks thing. :)

Not buggy at all. I don't even remember it dying once when I caught it on my Draenei hunter. I've never had issues with it. If the skin is worth running out there and looking for figuringes, go for it.

My ghost saber died once soon after taming for no normal pet-related reason. I hear its their 'in the wild' spawn time limit. This doesn't happen again. They are just like any other cat in their abilities and needs.

If you aren't enamored of the semi-transparent skin, then no, they're not worth it.

This is exactly what happened when I tamed mine. After it died, I rezzed it and the only other time it has died is when he agros more mobs that mend pet can heal through.

I got mine around lvl 30 and I'm currently 64 so I've had him a while. They are almost totally invisible to you when you train stealth...I've lost him before. :-)

The ghost saber is definitely worth the trouble, if you get him at an early enough level. It's murder trying to catch up a pet with a huge level difference to your own.

He died on me once, as well. But after that once, not a single problem with him. All the way to 70.
Big Red See-through Kitty!!!

The Dwarf 'Find Treasure' ability shows all the cat figurines nearby on the mini-map, making it super easy for them to get this pet.

Dont blame your pet for this. Your pet getting killed due to aggro, falls on your shoulders for being stupid. Call me harsh but the sooner young hunters learn to control their damn pets the better off they will all be later on in their journeys.

Nothing wrong with the Ghost Sabre
Yes after taming it will die once at 10 minutes after being tamed but i had mine to level 70 no probs...

I keep my cat on aggressive 99% of my play time and rarely get pet in trouble , if pets in trouble then i am almost sure i am going to run like hell away from the mobs..

if you are a NE and do PvP the Ghost cat i would guess would be fun to play with , I know with Prowl on i used to rest up very close to the mobs i was fighting.
