I've never been a keyboard turner. I have all my attacks bound to my Nostromo N52 gaming keyboard, and I use my mouse to move.
I've seen that a lot of people that use the WASD (and strafe) keys to move (and mouse to turn).
Is that a better option than moving with the mouse? I have the down arrow on my keyboard mapped to my mouse so i can back up. I can't strafe though, but in PVE this has never been a problem.
Thoughts?

I tend to use a bit of both. There are even times when you need to use both at once.
It's all a matter of preference and what feels most comfortable, really, although the importance of good mouse control (i.e. not keyboard turning) can't be overstated.

I used WASD and my mouse to turn.
With everything bound to my mouse or 1-5 (and a few keyboard buttons), I never really have to move my hands.
If you don't use WASD, it's insanely hard to 5-8 kite a warrior.

i use the WASD, and turn with my mouse
but since i have been using a laptop without a mouse for a while, i learned to use the number buttons for the main moves (SS,Evis) so i kinda have to move my left hand around to compensate
not sure if its the best way to control, but w/e lol

For PvP (which admittedly I don't do a ton of) it's QWSE (strafe, forward, back) and mouse-turning right now (with common abilities bound to the wheel). I used to use the two thumb buttons for forward-back but trying out a new configuration now. Most good players use strafe and mouse-turning.
Honestly though, sometimes for Kara farming I get lazy and use the 4-arrow keys.

I've been using WASD to move and mouse turn turn since I picked it up around level 30, unfortunately I play on a laptop so I don't have a mouse to key bind to (in all honesty though I once did key bind a mouse for about a month, and I really didn't enjoy it even after it became second nature so I went back to numbers, since i used WSAD to move I never really found it that hard to hit all my keys, keep everything i don't use often after 6 key, only thing I had trouble with is putting kick on 6 but it became easier later.
God i ramble a lot... anyway I use WSAD moving mouse turn mainly while occasionally using mouse to move if i need to hit a lot of my hard to reach hot keys in quick succession
